"Maybe you should... Brush your teeth?"
"And comb your hair."
"And change your suit."
"Maybe just take a shower all together."
BJ sat, an exasperated expression on his face. He was getting criticism from Adam, Laf and Barbara on how he looked.
"Why can't I just go how I am?"
"BJ. Literally no offense, but it looks like you just crawled out of a sewer." Barbara said softly, placing a hand on his shoulder. She accidentally placed her hand directly on a mold spot on his suit, which made her take her hand off him quickly, cringing a little.
"Oh... Okay. So how do I do this?" BJ stood up, looking at Adam and Lafayette for assistance. They just looked at each other then nodded.
"We'll help. Barbara, you might not want to be here while we do this." Adam looked at her, who just nodded.
"I'll go check on (Y/N)." She said, walking out of Adam's dorm.
"Okay, BJ. Let's get you ready." Lafayette said with enthusiasm, he grabbed a bag which held a new suit.
~ (Y/N) POV ~
"I'm nervous. I am so so nervous." I groaned, rushing back to the mirror to rebrush my hair.
"(Y/N), you need to calm down. Everything is gonna be alright." Delia assured me, placing her hands on my shoulders as she stood behind me, looking at me in the mirror.
"Hello?" Barbara sang out as she walked into our dorm. "How is she?" She asked.
"Nervous." Delia answered, shaking her head and shrugging softly.
"What if it all goes horrible? What if we're denied service? What if his mother comes back?" I whisper yelled the last part.
I have officially agreed to go on a date with Beetlejuice. Our first official date. He said he planned everything, so it should all go smoothly. But if he didn't get help from Adam or Lafayette, everything is going to topple. Because no offense, I love the adorable little bean with the bushy green hair, but he's not the best at planning or arranging things... He set up lessons with each of us so he can learn to actually read books that doesn't have pictures in them, but forgot about the lessons completely.
"Okay. His mom isn't coming back. We all watched her get wiped from existence. And besides, Adam and Laf helped plan, so it's going to be fine." Barbara assured me. We all stood, thinking and looking at each other awkwardly.
"Okay. Alright let's do this." I nodded. Barbara and Delia squealed excitedly, before sitting me down in front of the mirror.
Delia went to work curling my hair and Barbara was putting light makeup on my face. We were listening to music and laughing the entire time, talking about random things before the conversations turned to our boyfriends.
My nerves calmed down and I didn't feel so uncertain anymore. If anything, I felt more excited than scared.
Once both my hair and makeup were done, Delia walked over to my bed and grabbed the dress my parents sent to me. I looked over the dress again, admiring it's beauty.
"And he has a suit in the same color, so you two will be matching." Barbara told me as I was looking at the dress.
"Okay... I'm ready." I nodded. Delia handed me the dress and I walked behind a changing screen Delia had bought. I changed into the dress quickly, which fit like a glove.
I looked in the mirror and admired the dress and myself and most importantly myself in the dress. The way my hair and makeup was done with the way the dress fitted me perfectly. I looked flawless (if I do say so myself).
