Slowly, Kite lets her go. 'If your world isn't upside down then it will be now. You need to take care of yourself, Neith. Otherwise, it will be too hard to handle all the things in your life. If you can't take care of yourself then how do you take care of your sister?'
'Why did you do that?' She looks at him. His eyes seem bluer then grey.
'To silence your mind,' is his reaction. 'I can see it in your eyes. You never really have a clear mind, do you?'
She pushes him away with her hand against his chest. 'Kite.' Shaking her head, she takes a step back.
'No, would you believe me if I told you I wanted to do that?' He closes the gap between them. 'Not many people affect me. You are one of them. Either for good or bad, there is something about you.'
Neith doesn't even know how to react. Except for looking up in his eyes. Not by much, since he's not too tall compared to her.
He knows that she won't push him away. Not a second time. Another step is enough that he grabs her waist. Even the look in her eyes, tells him everything. Not one sign of that he does something that she doesn't want. 'You want this too,' he whispers while leaning in. The following second, he closes the small gap between their faces, kissing her lips again. The last moment he saw her looking at his lips. Which he sees as a good sign.
Feeling his grip on her waist and the gentle kiss on her lips, she caves in and kisses him back. Even her hands find her way around his back. A moment later, her lips parted, and giving in into the kiss.
It is the opening that Kite is waiting for. Enjoying the kiss, he pulls her even closer.
Neith feels like drowning in the kiss and hangs on to him. Only to end the kiss because of a lack of air. Opening her eyes to him, she can see that he looks back at her. It even has her breathing heavily.
'Can you handle me in your life?' He wants to know. At the same time, he can see that her eyes the brown dominates the bit of green.
Not wanting to let him go completely, she leaves her arms around his waist. 'As long as your not high maintenance.'
He shakes his head. 'I'm not, and neither is Celeste. Don't make your life more complicated than it already is. If we can spend time together once or twice a week, is good for me. I have things to do, like you. Seeing each other twenty-four seven is not healthy.'
'Like Wednesday and Sunday?' She suggests.
Kite agrees. 'Saturday or Sunday, that depends on what I have to do. In that case, I will let you know. I suggest you do the same with me.'
'Of course, I have plans to go to the ruins. The dig site where my mother went missing.' She thinks about it.
He nods. 'You go with Nebula?'
'That is the plan.' She confirms.
'Then I will see you on Wednesday. Maybe Friday before you leave.' Kite has no intention to claim time immediately.
She sighs. 'I don't know when I leave. Friday evening or Saturday morning.'
'If you go on Friday, where do you stay? Or is it not that far away?'
'It's close to Bogota in Colombia. And in a hotel.'
Making Kite sigh. 'That's South America. With a plane that would take almost a day.'
She smiles. 'Not with Nebula, she flies much faster than a regular plane.'
'Than I will see you on Wednesday and Monday when you're back. Since you work in your father's company, you have to be back by then.' He understands that he can't stop her. Nor that she needs his help. He has things to do himself. 'If you need any help, let me know.'
