HARRY

Harry woke up with the sound muffled cries. He opened his eyes and saw that Louis was laying on his side hugging his pillow with his back against Harry.

"What's wrong Lou?" Harry asked groggily reaching out for him.

"I'm so tired Haz, but I haven't been able to fall asleep all night" Louis mumbled between tears.

Harry looked at the time, it was four in the morning and they had gone to bed at eleven. Louis hadn't slept in all that time? No wonder he was crying.

"Because of the baby?" Harry wondered and rubbed his arm up and down.

"Yeah, he's too heavy and my back is killing me" Louis replied.

"Oh Lou I'm sorry" Harry answered "Can I do something to help?".

"Can you get your son out of me, please?" Louis said turning around slowly so he was facing Harry.

It was 4 a.m on April 24 and there was still no signs of peanut wanting to come. Since their last doctor's appointment, in which the doctor said it was okay for the baby to come before his due date, Louis had been doing everything within his power to induce labor. He had eaten spicy food every single day, he had tried castor oil, he had walked around a lot, and they even had sex two nights ago, although Harry knew Louis didn't feel like it, he was too pregnant to have sex at this point, but he still asked because he wanted the baby out.

"Maybe I can talk to him?" Harry suggested even though he knew it probably wasn't going to work.

"Kay" Louis whispered.

Harry moved down on the bed, so his head was on the same level as Louis's middle and he lifted his tshirt. In the week and few days since Louis found his first stretch mark, more had appeared, but Louis's reaction, though had included tears, hadn't been as dramatic as the first time.

"Hi peanut, it's daddy" Harry said while he rubbed Louis stretched skin gently "I know it's warm and cozy in there and that papa has done a good job carrying you around all this time, but he needs a break now, so you need to come out, okay?".

Harry could feel the baby squirm a little inside Louis, but of course nothing else happened.

"Sorry Lou, he's stubborn" Harry said and pulled Louis's tshirt down again.

"Tell me about it" Louis sighed.

"Do you want me to rub your back love?".

"No it's fine, go back to sleep" Louis replied.

"But...".

"Haz you have to work in the morning, and I'll probably fall asleep soon" Louis insisted.

"Uhm okay, if you're sure..." Harry hesitated

"I am".

"Alright, goodnight baby".

"Night Haz".

Harry fell asleep again in less than a minute.

When Harry's alarm went off, Louis wasn't sleeping next to him. He got up and found Louis in the nursery sitting on the one person sofa they bought, and he was folding baby clothes that he must have folded and refolded a hundred times in the last two weeks.

"Hey" Harry said.

"Hi" Louis looked up at him, he had bags under his eyes.

"Did you sleep at all last night?" wondered Harry.

"No" Louis replied.

"Is your back still hurting?" Harry wondered.

"Yeah" the pregnant boy sighed.
