7. Did you hear what I said?

HARRY

When Harry got back to uni to start his last year, he made his way to the flat he shared with Niall. When he decided Louis and him needed a break he talked about it with Niall and he said they could continue sharing the apartment if by fall Lou and him were still on a break.

He opened the door to the familiar apartment and Niall was already there.

"Hey mate! How was the summer?" He asked cheerful as ever and standing up to hug his friend.

"It was... Ok". Harry replied hugging his roommate back.

Then Niall saw that Harry had his bags with him, and shook his head.

"Harry Styles, don't tell me you still haven't work things out with Lou".

"I don't want to talk about it" Harry muttered.

"Are you stupid? Did you hit your head or something?" The blond asked.

"Shut up, will you?"

"No I won't! Harry we have been friends for three years and I've never seen you happier than when you are with Louis!" Niall almost yelled "You're miserable without him, you said so yourself last time we talked, so what's stopping you from being together!?"

Harry looked at his friend with wide eyes, he had never seen Niall this upset with him before.

"Why don't you call Louis and fix things?" Niall tried again, this time his tone softer.

"I can't" Harry said taking a seat on the couch.

"Why not?"

"Because I fucked up and now he will never take me back" Harry had tears in his eyes.

"Yes he will" Niall said.

"No mate, you don't understand, I did something bad to him over the summer and now he's not going to forgive me" Harry confessed to his friend.

"What did you do that was so terrible?".

"I saw him in London when I went there like a month ago, and we had sex, and the next morning I told him it had been a mistake"

Niall sighed.

"I was so stupid, and he was so angry! Of course it wasn't a mistake, I realize that now, what was a mistake was the whole break" Harry said desperately, a couple of tears had fallen so he wiped them off with his hands. "We had a great relationship and I ruined it because of something so small and stupid, he will never forgive me".

"Hey don't punish yourself, Louis isn't a saint, he was hurting you, maybe he didn't know he was doing it, but it was happening either way" Niall said comforting Harry.

"Yeah I know, but I overreacted, and I ended up hurting him worse than he hurt me" said Harry "I've wanted us to get back together for more than 2 weeks, but I'm afraid what I did to him was too much".

"Why are you so dramatic all the time Harry! He loves you, that's what matters, he will take you back in a heartbeat" Niall urged him.

"You really think so Ni?" He asked, his voice hopeful.

"Of course I'm sure, Louis was miserable all this time without you too, Liam told me".

"Okay, okay, you're right, I'll go there, and I think I'll go now, I don't want to spend any more time without him" Harry said. "Thank you Ni you are seriously the best friend in the world".

"You don't have to tell me things I already know" Niall said smugly.

Harry just laughed and pat him on the back while he made his way to the door.
