The Thatcher Tower was a business hub located right in the heart of the city. It stood proudly with all its glory, towering over everything else around it. Everyone in the country knew who the Thatchers were. The Senior Thatcher, Roderick Thatcher wasn't just a businessman, he was also the the member of the congress. The entire city was his kingdom and he was the king.
Just outside the building, the two young women in their late twenties, gawking at the building in front of them. Both of them stood with their arms crossed in front of them and leaned back on the car parked behind them. One of the girls looked like she was one of those socialite girls, with her dark Ray-Ban shades covering her eyes, her Vera Wang red dress with low cut in the front and her shoulder length wavy blonde hair tied up in a neat bun. She looked like she just popped out of a fashion magazine.
"That's one immense tower, Juliette," she said in awe to the other girl.
The other girl, Juliette, was very simple and modest looking young woman in her white off shoulder top with black skater skirt. Still looking up at the building, she said, "I can't believe, I got a job working for a company in this building, Deena."
"You better believe it, I'm gonna be a Thatcher soon, the least I can do for you is to get you a suitable job. One day, all of this," she pointed her thumbs towards the Thatcher's Tower, "will be mine. And then I'll live my life like a queen. "
Juliette turned and looked at Deena who was beaming, looking up at the building . Deep inside her heart, she was thankful that her sister Deena was adopted by a good couple who was quite wealthy and treated her well. Both Deena and Juliette had been tossed to the orphanage at the early age after their parents were killed in a car accident. While Deena was adopted quick enough due to her younger age than her sister, Juliette had to be passed from one foster family to another through out her early childhood.
"Thank you for speaking to your fiance and landed me a job here. I wouldn't have done it without you." Juliette said sincerely to her sister.
"Don't worry about it. But there's one thing you can do for me in return. And I'm hopeful you can help me."
Julliette turned to face her sister, who was still looking at the building.
"What is it you want me to help you with, Deena?"
Deena then turned and face Julliette, looked at her straight in the eye and said, "I requested Kayne to take you as his secretary instead of your applied job as an accountant. He agreed to hire you to be his secretary. Now what you need to help me is to monitor Kayne and his business activities. You'll be my spy."
Julliette was taken aback by Deena's request. She was confused as to why would Deena needed her to spy on her fiance.
" But Deena, why do you want me to do that. And I'm not comfortable doing that for you. Plus I think that is categorized as illegal," Julliette tried to argue with her sister.
"Julliette, I need you to monitor Kayne, because I don't want him to cheat on me. I'm pretty sure Kayne and his father are hiding something. Whenever they're together, they talk in hushed voice or move to a different room. I just wanna make sure that's nothing to worry about. And that's why I need you to help me. "
"But Deena, if you're that worried, why don't you just ask them directly?instead of making me do it."
"Okay. Listen here, Julliette. What I'm asking you isn't much. Considering I managed to bag you a job that pays well. You told me that you and your foster sister were on the verge of being evicted. You need this job to keep a roof over your head. So stop being a Saint when you can't afford it. I'm not gonna beg you. So do you want this job or not?" Deena lost her patience.
