Let's get into a deeper side of what's going on...
---
A few days of running more, and more tests that even Bruce helped with, we found something. "I've found some locations." Zara informed us, and we both sighed. We then gathered the team into the lab, and Zara gave us the information. "I've traced the energy signals to a warehouse right outside Orangeburg, but after looking over CCTV of the area, it was a SHIELD van that brought it there." She informed us.
"SHIELD's a part of this?" Bruce questions, and I shrug.
"This doesn't seem right." Steve says, but I had a feeling that it was a bit of both. I was never entirely sure whether or not to trust SHIELD.
"Didn't SHIELD help with some of the cleanups of the Battle of New York?" I ask, and Clint nodded.
"Yea, they had a handful of people cleaning that up." He states.
"Zara, can you show us the CCTV?" Nat asks, and the hologram pops up. The SHIELD van was sitting in a warehouse parking lot, far away from the camera. It was a few seconds of us observing the area before I spoke up.
"Is there still footage of the van driving there?" I ask Zara, and it is a few seconds before she responds.
"Yes, there is." She says before pulling it up. "It seems like SHIELD wasn't the ones who drove it there, though. The van was hijacked going up route eight-five, before reaching White Plains County." She shows us the CCTV, and we all collectively sigh.
"Does SHIELD have a missing van report?" Nat asks her.
"I can't find a record of one." Zara tells us, and I think of what possibly could have been in that van. Then I think back to the Battle of New York, and what the guns the Chitauri used. They have a similar color to the beams used, and similar grip with the shape. I sighed, sitting down and shaking my head.
"They were transporting the Chitauri Weapons." I state, and they looked at me, confused, so I gave them a look. "I can't be the only one here with a brain cell." I tell them. "Cleaning up the city after the attack meant getting rid of Chitauri bodies, but also their weapons. Looking back on it, the color and the energy of those weapons match this one." I explain, and they nod as Dad stepped forwards.
"These do look like the same grip as the Chitauri guns, and I'm sure if we got our hands on one, we'd find that they have similar energy outputs." He states, and I nod as I chuckle.
"There's another brain cell." I mutter to myself, really. "I know I said if we found something, there would be no need to contact SHIELD... But we should at least tell Hill that one of there vans is missing, and had the Chitauri weapons in it." I state, and they nod at that.
"Fair point, I'll go call Hill myself." Steve says, and I nod at him as he leaves the room.
"Okay, well, we need to shut this down, before anyone else is hurt." Nat states, and leans on the table. "I say later, we go there, and take it out from the inside." She says, and we nod at that.
"Zara, can you show us the satellite photo of the place?" I ask her, and it pops up in front of us. "Okay, that's the SHIELD van." I point it out, and we start going over a plan until Steve walks back in.
"Hill is coming down to talk about it because there shouldn't have been a van headed up that way in the first place." He states, and there was a confused look across the room.
"It wasn't going to the SHIELD warehouse up there?" Clint asks, and Nat shakes her head.
"They shut the place down a few years ago, they still have security and stuff there, but no deliveries have gone there." She states as she is only a level above him. I saw a look on Dad's face that made me know he'd buy it someday.
