Let's throw in a little pain for my character... 🙃
---
A few days after the panic attack, everything was cleaned up and replaced. I kept myself away from the training room and didn't even bother using my abilities. I didn't show it, but I was afraid of them right now. I have no control over them, and it worries me so much. I had resorted to keeping myself in my room unless it was for food. Uno and I were watching a movie while cuddling when Zara switched it to the news.
"Hey, we were watching something." I complain.
"Sorry to interrupt, but there is a massive attack happening at Independence Square in Philadelphia." She tells me, and I sigh, petting Uno.
"Tell the team to suit up." I state, shifting into the suit while getting up.
"They are already there, they've just called Code Green." She informs me, and I was shocked to find out that they went without me. I took a deep breath and petted Uno before teleporting to Philadelphia. I ended up at the very top of Independence Hall, where I could see over the fight. Despite my powers being unstable, I released a wave of blue energy. I grabbed onto the attackers and immobilized them for now.
Hulk was fighting in the middle of Independence Square, Rogers and Romanoff were fighting guys near Congress Hall. Stark taking out guys between the Museum and APS, while I could see arrows flying out from under me. Meaning Barton was under me. I slipped down off the point of the tower and landed next to him. "You guys have some explaining to do." I tell him before my mist turns red again. He just rolled his eyes and kept shooting.
All of the attackers started moving again, and from here, I shot at them with my energy. Most of the park was destroyed, the trees were ripped up out of the ground, and John Barry's statue no longer existed. It was a mess, and it was about to get worse. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see someone pointing a bazooka straight at us, from Library Hall. As soon as I saw it flying directly at us, my instincts took over and grabbed it telepathically.
It stopped in its tracks and saw the SHIELD logo on it. I threw it above the park, and at the last second, the mist turned red and made it explode. The explosion was loud and rippled the air around us. It went quietly still for a few moments before the attackers dropped their weapons. They all put their hands on their heads and got onto the ground. We all looked at each other, nodding, as there was help rounding the attackers up.
As soon as we all got to the jet, and Hulk was back to being Bruce, I blew up at them a bit. "Why wasn't I informed when we first got the report?" I asked once the jet was closed, and we took off. "The fight could've ended much earlier, not much damage would have happened. There would have been no need to call a code green, and--" Dad cut me off.
"I didn't want you fighting!" He raises his hands, and I feel my jaw clench up. "Look, your powers are going haywire, and your panic attack a few days ago doesn't help." He says, and I glance at the rest of the team who gave me a concerned look.
"You had a panic attack?" Clint asks, and I took a deep breath before looking back at Dad.
"That wasn't your call." I tell him and then teleport back to the tower. I collapsed on my bed as I changed out of the suit. Uno was then on my chest, and I sighed, hugging her.
*~*
Me and Uno laid there and continued the movie from earlier, but I couldn't concentrate on it. My mind was filled with "what if" situations if I didn't arrive at the attack. Clint could've died, Hulk would have destroyed even more of the area. The attack could've gone on forever, no one knew their numbers, and there was easily seventy maybe more on the field at a time. Dad's suit could have run out of power if it went on long enough.
