Summary: With Pan's curse on it's way, Emma has to prepare to leave to New York with Henry. When the curse hits, Emma and Henry forget about Storybrooke and move to New York with Emma's new husband, Killian.
Emma gulped back her tears and her want to cry and sighed. She couldn't believe this was happening. She was about to ripped away from the people she cared about and forget all about them. She'd go back to the person she was before she went to Storybrooke. Closed off, broken and unloved-feeling like everyone had abandoned her. Even though that wasn't the truth. She was going to miss so many people. Mary-Margaret, David, Regina, Archie, Ruby, Ashley, Neal and most of all, Killian. Emma had grown closer to him recently and every time he spoke, her feelings for him grew. And now she was never going to see him again. Some of the things he had said to her meant so much.
Perhaps I would.
Perhaps you're the one who couldn't handle it.
So when I win your heart, Emma. And I will win it. I will not be because of any trickery, It will be because you want me.
Until I met you.
I've yet to see you fail.
I actually quite fancy you from time to time when you're not yelling at me.
I would despair if you did.
I was hoping it would be you.
Hey beautiful.
We make quite the team.
I prefer to do more enjoyable activities with a woman on her back.
When I jab you with my sword, you'll feel it.
Maybe I just needed reminding that I could.
You're bloody amazing.
And now she was going to forget all of that. All of those amazing moments when it felt like her heart was going to burst out of her chest and all she wanted to do was kiss Killian. He meant so much to Emma, not that she would ever share that. And that's why she saved his goodbye last. She headed over to him and their eyes connected. Both could see that the other was in a lot of pain because as Emma said, they understood each other. Killian gave her a small, sad smile.
"That's quite a vessel you captain there, Swan." he said, indicating towards the yellow bug. Emma smiled softly back at him. She was afraid to say anything because she knew if she did, she would start crying and she'd kiss him again.
"There's not a day that will go by that I won't think of you." Killian told Emma. Her mouth dropped a little and tears sprung up in her eyes. She couldn't believe what he just said. Another moment she was going to forget. Emma didn't know what to say, so instead she just said one word.
"Good." And neither of them said anything else. They didn't need to. All their emotions and words were expressed through the way they looked. Both were staring at the other intensely, trying to memorise every detail of the other. Killian knew the image of his Swan would be all he had left. And Emma was hoping to remember something about the man who had stolen her heart. Filled with so much pain and love, Emma couldn't control herself anymore. Grabbing the lapels of his jacket, she pulled Killian towards her and pushed her lips against his. It was short and not the most passionate, unlike the first. But for both of them it was perfect. It shared everything that needed to be shared. And showed Killian that Emma did have feelings for him. Eventually, they parted and by this time, tears were trickling down her face.
"It'll be okay, Swan." he said soothingly, wiping away her tears. Emma nodded, smiling at everyone one last time while she still remembered them. Regina grabbed her arm and pulled her aside.
"Emma, there was one last thing I need to tell you. I've made it so the man you love the most will be with you when the curse hits. That way Henry will have his father in your new life." Regina explained. Emma nodded and grabbed her son and together, they walked to and got in her bug. Turning on the engine, Emma glanced back at everyone and her eyes went straight to the dark-haired, blue-eyed pirate, who looked utterly devastated. She watched as the purple and green cloud grew closer and then started to drive. The curse washed over everyone and then hit the town line. Suddenly, Emma didn't realise why she was looking behind her. She shook her head and her eyes went back onto the road. She was very tired and it was there was still a lot further till they got to New York. Glancing in the mirror, she checked to see if her son, Henry, was okay. He was staring out the window with a smile on his face. Emma loved Henry very much. Yes he was born out of a bad situation and she was going to give him up. But when she held him in her arms, she just knew that she had to keep him. And she was so glad she had.
Then, she glanced sideways at the man who was sitting next to her. He was very handsome with hair that always fell perfectly and eyes that reminded her of the ocean. And he was her husband, Killian Jones. They had been married for a month now and Emma couldn't be happier. Emma loved him with all her heart. He reached over and grabbed her hand. Emma's eyes were led to the engagement and wedding ring that laid on her finger. Two of the most amazing days of her life. She beamed at Killian and smirked at her, raising his eyebrow. She rolled her eyes. He could be such a goofball sometimes.
"Excited to go to New York, Love?" he asked.
"I'm going to miss Boston and our old apartment but it will be an adventure and it will be fun. And I'm very excited to go on this new adventure with you."
"Me too, Love." From the back, Henry groaned and made a face. "Ewww. You guys are so gross." he complained. Emma and Killian both burst out laughing.
"And what about you, Lad? You looking forward to New York." Killian asked.
"Yeah! It's going to be so much fun. New York is the city. I can't wait." Henry exclaimed. Emma smiled. She loved seeing the two most important men in her life interact. They had such a good relationship. Killian was really good with him and always went the extra mile to make sure he was okay and was included. She couldn't help but smile when they were together. It made her want to start a family with him. Even though it was a bit weird, Emma had mapped out their entire future. She just loved her husband so much and couldn't wait to grow old with him. Emma sighed happily. Her life was great with an amazing son, an incredible husband and a job that she loved. There was only two things that plagued her. Her parents abandoning her and Neal abandoning and leaving her in jail. She was always worried that somehow he would come back and try and take Henry from her. But that would never happen. He life was fantastic and she couldn't be happier.
