Killian slumped against a chair, sighing. He had poured himself a glass or rum and tipped it down his throat. He didn't want to give Emma the memory potion because then he'd lose everything that mattered to him. He'd lose Henry, his daughter and the love of his life, Emma Swan. But he had to give it to her because well......he was broken. He didn't have to give it to her but the strange thing was he wanted to. Killian wanted to give it to her. And then his amazing life would break apart. A day ago he was a father and a husband but now he was just a pirate who loved a woman who didn't love him back. Killian was filled with such an amazing feeling when ever she smiled at him, kissed him, touched him, told him that she loved him. And now he would never have another moment like that again.
A day ago they were in love, they were married and they were happy. But after she drank the potion, they would never have another moment like that. He didn't know if he could bear going back to him and Emma being nothing. He loved her with all his heart and he knew it would destroy him. But he could do the selfish thing. He didn't have to get the potion to her. He could destroy it and then carry on his amazing life. But now he had his memory back and he just couldn't pretend that this was real. It was all based on magical nonsense and Emma deserved to know the truth. He had to give it to her. Because he loved her. And sometimes when you love people you have to let them go. And the thought of losing her was plaguing him and making him miserable. He sighed again as he poured himself another glass. He would do it tonight. Henry was at a sleepover so it was the perfect time. And he was already dreading it. Killian heard the door bang open and he braced himself for what came next.
"Hey Killy." Emma said happily, bending over to place a soft kiss on his lips.
"Killy?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I was trying something new." she said, laughing slightly. Emma pulled her jacket off and sat down in the chair next to her husband. She frowned as she stared at him. She could tell that he was upset about something.
"Are you okay? You seem upset about something." she asked worriedly.
"I'm fine." She knew he was lying. He looked broken. She was about to say something but Killian beat him to it. "Do you love me?" he asked. Emma chuckled, shaking her head. Is that what this was about?
"Of course I do! That's why I married you." she exclaimed.
"Do you trust me?" he asked again. She reached over and squeezed his hand.
"I would trust you with my life. Now, are you going to tell me why you're asking all these questions?" she asked.
"Emma, I need you to take a leap of faith. You need to drink this." he told her, placing a small blue bottle on the table. Her eyes widened as she stared at her husband. What the hell was he going on about? "And why do I need to do that?" she asked, utterly bewildered.
"This might be hard to hear and you might not understand but you have a problem.....with your memory."
"What?!"
"This is medicine and it's going to help you. It'll make things right again. It'll help you remember everything you've forgotten." Emma's mouth dropped open. A problem with her memory? "What do you mean? What have I forgotten?" she asked incredulously.
"It's hard to explain. You'll understand once you've drunk it."
"Killian......is this some sort of joke? Cause it's really not funny and I don't get it."
"You said you trusted me, Emma. So take a leap of faith and drink it."
"But I don't have a problem with my memory! I remember all of my life."
