LIVING ART

18 2 1

Art skinned to her—
A delicate creature, yet hearty,
Designed not with paints and brushes;
Not like the enigmatic Mona Lisa
Or any piece by Leonardo da Vinci.
But, a noble piece by The Greatest Artist
Of all times and places, of heavens and earth.
A paragon of beauty,
The crème de la crème of sisters,
The beau idéal of melanin...
Oh! How I fell in love with her beauteous
Dark eyes that glister dreams, charming smiles,
And gleaming dark skin and hair!
Oh! How artistic her stretch marks look
—like beaming rays of the sun fighting
Their ways through stakes of clouds!
Oh! How poetic her voice sounds!
The young, the old, they all like Zainab—
For she is the epitome of love and kindness.
