I woke up to the familiar ringtone on my phone,I untangled myself from Connors arms and unlocked my phone. I looked over at the clock. 3:52am. I squinted my eyes at the bright light ejecting off of my screen and answered.

R: Hello?

B: Ruby

R: brad is everything ok?

B: minas having the baby.

R: Oh my god! Do you need anything?

B: no tah, we'll see you after it's born though.

R: Are you sure? I've got to run some errands in an hour or so anyway.

B: what why?

R: Keris is 1 today.

B: Ohmygod! They'll be birthday twins!

R: I guess so. Are you sure that you don't want anything?

B: no we're fine.

R: ok bye. I love you. Tell mina I love her.

B: Love you too. Bye.

"Con." I shook him lightly.

"What?" he groaned rolling over.

"Minas gone into labour."

He shot up. "no way!"

"Yah." I said getting up and stretching.

"Are you going?"

"No Brad said it wasn't nessecary."

"Oh okay." He walked over and pulled me into him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my head into the crook of his neck.

"Con."

"Yeah?"

"Keris is a year old today."

"I know." He sighed, his voice muffled in my hair.

"It's gone so quickly."

"I know."

"Do you know any other words other than, I know?" I giggled.

"I kn- Wait that doesn't make sense?"

I laughed lightly, pulling away and walking towards the bathroom.

"Why are you getting ready?" He yawned looking over at the clock.

"Because she's going to be up in 20 minutes or so anyway and I want to go get stuff for the new baby."

"I spose so." He said getting into bed.

"What's the point in that? You're going to be on Keris duty because I'll be out."

I walked downstairs, turning left into the kitchen.

"I'm going to head out now."

"Ok stay safe."

"I will, lauren, james and tris are coming."

I saw him visibly tense.

"Connor? You do trust me right?"

"Yes. Just not him."

I walked over and kissed him lightly. "He has James and Lauren to stop him doing or saying anything. And besides I'm all yours." I said kissing him again.
