i told his new one
when all i wanted to ask
was his love really gone
"take care of him for me"
i smiled i won't lie
with a heart full of turmoil
who wouldn't
"love yourself first
it will get in your way of loving"
it was when the sun rose
that instead of it drying
it wet my eyes
i was crying
i was drowning
"please come back"
the hurt sank deeper
that oceans would cower
my soul yearned for answers
that it almost left my body
"if you love me
why'd you leave me"
