They could the hear the sound of deep based music thumping all the way from the car. San's eyes lights up with excitement when he catches sight of the boat house from the park's parking lot.
Hongjoong releases a long breath of air as he puts the car into park, his nerves still not quite subsiding yet. "I feel like I'm gonna throw up" He confesses.
San snaps his head in the shorter's direction. "Don't you dare chicken out now. C'mon, I'll lead and you can follow ok?" He says reassuringly then opens up the passenger's side and steps out. He goes to the driver's side and yanks the door open, waiting for the older male to step out.
Hongjoong sighs loudly then pulls himself out of the car. "And when I embarrass myself?"
"Stop saying that. You won't" San takes his hand and together they make their way towards the waters where the boat house was located. The path had a couple other teens, talking and laughing in small groups. Teens not just from their highschool but from other schools as well. Apparently Mingi is quite the popular kid.
There was a couple against the side of a tree engaged in a heavy make out session and another group of 3 friends smoking. Hongjoong gagged a little at the smell as they walked by the trio.
They finally arrived at the party and the music was so loud Hongjoong could barely even hear himself when he tried talking to San. "Where is he?" He questions and San only shrugs and pulls them to the snazzy looking bar.
"Two shots of sunset rum please" San orders as he leans forward on the bar. The bartender nods and goes to grab his order when Hongjoong speaks up.
"W-what? I'm not drinking" Hongjoong intervenes. San shoots his friend an amused look.
"Who said they were for you?" He turns back to the bartender. "Actually, make that 3 shots"
Hongjoong simply rolls his eyes and leans forward on the bar. He glances behind him at the crazy party that was taking place. People of every gender grinding and dancing on each other. It was hot and the air felt very humid. He felt as though he was in a sauna room.
And still no sign of the one person he came here for.
"Mingi where are you?" He mutters to himself as he tries to look around the crowded room.
"San I'm gonna walk around for a bit, see if I could find him" Hongjoong turns to his friend to inform him of his departure. San just nods as he downs another shot, his head already beginning to spin a little.
Hongjoong then hops off the bar stool and began maneuvering around tall, intoxicated, sweat covered bodies. He cringed whenever someone rubbed against him and cursed out loud when someone stepped on him. But still no sign of a specific tall male.
He was about ready to give up when he feels 2 large hands slide onto his hips, holding him from behind. He flinches and turns his head expecting it to be Mingi but he was instead greeted with an unfamiliar face. They looked to be a senior but perhaps at a different school because Hongjoong had never seen that face before.
