"I had always assumed so, uh, perhaps I need to assign more?" Our teacher butts into the conversation, and I roll my eyes.

Yeah, when has that ever worked?

.

.

.

"Are you ok? You seem nervous, son," Damien asked Danny, picking up on his nervous behavior.

"Uh, well kinda..." Danny admits that as he looked up at the portrait of Vlad, that read in bold words 'Our Boss.'

"Well, I think you're a good kid, and I know my daughter likes you and your girl," The two start to laugh before Damien continues. "Just do me a favor. Keep your family's ghost weirdness away from my daughter, hm?"

Before Danny could join the rest of his friends, his ghost sense went off, and Valerie's suit appeared, destroying the lab.

.

.

.

"Everybody single file...RUN!" Our teacher shouted as the suit continued to make chaos.

I feel a hand grab me, and I see it's Danny as he drags me around a corner, and we both go ghost. When we re-entered the room, we quickly had to hide when Damien started to walk in and gasp at the mess when his daughter came out of the closet, only to be dragged away after asking what was going on.

Inside the hub, Technus scoffed at the passcode. "A ten thousand code X firewall, eh? Please."

He starts to hack in, but soon fails after the third click.

"This could take a while, and those ghost children will be snooping around here at any time unless I continue distracting them."

"And those other kids will be the key! But first, I need to break those two up. They work too well together!" Technus said, raising an image of Valerie and Wes before raising an image of (y/n) and Danny. After quickly hacking into both computers, he soon got to work.

[Danny: What was that today?]

[You: What do you mean?]

[Danny: At Axion Labs, when we were fighting Valerie, what was that? You almost hurt her! That's not how we do things!]

[You: What on Earth are you talking about? We chased after her, but she was nowhere to be found, and no shots were fired.]

[Danny: Pffft, sure...Knew it was a mistake to keep you around.]

[You: EXCUSE you?]

[Danny: That's right, I knew you weren't good enough, I should've listened.]

[You: Should've listened to what? That supposedly I'm not good enough to fight ghosts? What, do you think you're better? Last I checked, you were the one who constantly gets beaten on by our foes.]

[Danny: Oh, here we go AGAIN, always got to blame me for something.]

[You: When something is your fault, yeah, you're the one to blame, but what have I blamed you for?!]

[Danny: Every little thing! It's like you think you're perfect, well, news flash: You're not.]

[You: No kidding, Sherlock, nobody is perfect.]

[Danny: I swear you're worse than Valerie.]

[You: Valerie? What does she have to do with this?]

[Danny: Well, for one thing, she actually treats me with respect.]

[You: Oh, so you call being hunted down respect? Is that how I should act with you? Act like you're some animal?]

[Danny: And here comes the name-calling. Animal, really? You couldn't think of anything better?]

[You: I wasn't calling you ANYTHING, but if you like, I've got a bunch of colorful words I could call you.]

[Danny: Then why don't you do it, or are you too chicken? You're such a wimp.]

[You: Do. NOT. Call. Me. A wimp.]

[Danny: Why not? Too scared to face the truth, two-face?]

[You: How am I two-faced?]

[Danny: Well, you did lie to me about your identity, and you're still lying to Sam and Tucker about it.]

[You: Oh? And how are you any better? All three of you have lied to me, too, but you don't see me complaining!]

[Danny: You didn't have any right to know! I'm starting to wonder why I asked you out instead of Valerie.]

[You: So you're saying that Valerie would be a better girlfriend than me?!]

[Danny: Yeah, actually, she would.]

[You: So let me guess this straight: you'd rather be with Valerie now because you're not getting the whole picture and thought I tried to hurt her?! Danny, you're acting way out of line! What's going on?]

[Danny: What I'm saying is, I'm starting to regret dating you instead of her.]

[You: If this is how you're going to treat me now that you know my identity, maybe we shouldn't be together then!]

[Danny: Fine by me. We're through.]

I look at my computer screen in shock. Did Danny just break up with me over a stupid battle with Valerie?! On the COMPUTER?! I kept re-reading the conversation and how stupid this was and how he said Valerie was better...He compared me to another woman and left me for her?! I was gritting my teeth, my eyes were glowing, and I kept clenching and unclenching my fists. I loved him, and this is how I'm treated? Like garbage and then tossed aside like I'm nothing?

I spent the whole night trying to cope somehow with our breakup... I thought we were stronger than this.

.

.

.

At Valerie's place, she was being scolded by her dad.

"I'm telling you it wasn't me!"

"Well, it was your suit, so what am I supposed to think?!"

"That somebody took it, that I'm telling the truth, how about that?!"

Valerie went to her room and started to grumble about how it wasn't her when she got a message on her computer.

[Danny: Val. R u okay?]

Author's Note - I told you, you were gonna hate me, hope the break up was believable, if not, I'm sorry I tried.
