Brent and I rode to the school on his bike. It was the most amazing thing ever. I think my favorite part was holding on to him so I wouldn't fall. The wind blew his sweet scent of forest and lake into my face. I don't know why that was such an incredible smell but it just had something about it that made me feel safe.
"Julia we are at school. I'll hold the bike still so you can get off." I start to climb off the back when I loose my balance and knock the bike over. I open my eyes after closing them out of shock and I see Brent. I landed on top of him!!! Oh my gosh this is so embarrassing. "You ok?"
"Yeah I'm fine. I'm sorry I'm so clumsy. this is the second time I caused an injury to you."
"Hey I'm invincible I can take anything your little body can throw at me."
"Is that a challenge sir?" He better not mess with me today. I'm pumped for my softball game later today.
"And what if it is?" Oh man he's pushing it. A crazy idea popped into my head and I have no idea why it did. I look around to see if anyone was looking. Just a few sixth graders. Ok here goes nothing. I press my lips hard on his, tangling my fingers in his dark hair. He was shocked. I could tell without even opening my eyes. After about 2.5 seconds he starts kissing me back, with more force than I did. Suddenly I heard giggling from next to us. There was a whole mob of immature little sixth graders watching us.
"Hey I think I should get off of you and help you up." Together we sit the bike up, lock it to a pole with his chain, and head into the school hand in hand.
"So where are your friends Julia? I want to meat them."
"Well Catalia is probably still on her way here and Abby will be here soon so we can go to my locker get my things and wait at Abby's locker." I feel like I said way too much. Actually now that I think about it I could have said much more. "Oh I almost forgot about Hadlie and Alice. They might be here already." Suddenly Brent tightens his grip on my hand.
"Julia you can not leave my side Kerensa is here."
"What but I don't see her. Where is she?"
"She's over there." He points to a small group of girls with a blonde in the middle. That's Serenity and her friends. Maybe it's the craziness from the past few days finally getting to me but I feel tired. "Julia are you ok?"
"Yeah I'm fine. We should get to Spanish. That's my first class." I get my stuff quickly from my bag and shove it into mine and Catalia's locker. When I sit in my seat Brent asked the teacher to place him next to me. It must be something from Nicola but it's hard to say no to him. Our teacher puts on a movie cause we already took our Spanish exam and I fall asleep.
"JULIA I WILL KILL YOU BEFORE YOU CAN FULFILL THE PROPHESY!!!" It's Kerensa!!!
"What do you want with me?!"
"I want your blood. Not only are you the savior but you possess healing magic that can remove demonic powers. If I get even a little I can be human and start over getting to the throne."
"You will never get to me!!"
"We'll see....." Her voice fades away as I start to wake up. Brent is kneeling next to my desk poking my face.
"Wow you were tired. Guess how long you slept." We weren't in Spanish anymore. We were in the conference room.
"Umm 30 minutes?"
"Nope 2 hours. I persuaded the teachers to let you sleep in here."
"Well I do feel better. I mean, besides being at school. Wait 2 hours? That means it's lunch time. Come on I'm starving!!!!"
