The next morning was rough as (Y/N) slowly sat up, rubbing her eyes. They felt raw from wiping away her tears. Honestly, she thought she'd gotten over Cedric. She guessed she was wrong.
Finally, (Y/N) pulled herself out of bed and dressed. She brushed her hair and headed down to the Great Hall for breakfast. Lucia and Eris were already there, quietly eating as they waved at their friend. "Morning sunshine."
(Y/N) waved and gave them a small smile. "Morning guys. How was the lake yesterday?"
The two other girls were quiet. Lucia was the first to speak up. "We actually didn't go to the lake yesterday."
(Y/N) looked between the two of them. "Oh? You didn't?"
"No. We headed back to the castle after we bumped into Cedric." Eris's reply was quick, but she wasn't able to keep her tough exterior up for much longer as she wrapped an arm around (Y/N)'s waist. "I'm sorry you had to see that though."
She wrapped an arm around Eris' waist to return the half-hug. "It's alright, Eris. I thought I was over him too."
They were silent before their normal chatting began again before they headed off to their classes.

(Y/N) always had her last class before Care of Magical Creatures closest to the path down to Hagrid's Hut. She walked quietly, noticing the crowd forming. Lucia and Eris weren't far behind her, coming from their Potions lesson.
"Excited for Care of Magical Creatures today?" Lucia asked as she ran up behind her, hooking her arm with (Y/N)'s.
"Yeah. I think we're learning about Bowtruckles today?" (Y/N) replied, watching as Eris came to walk on her other side.
"I believe so. We're not exactly at Threstrals yet, but I'm sure that unit is coming up soon." The Slytherin confirmed, moving to walk ahead of the two Hufflepuffs.
The trio joined the class and Hagrid began his lesson. As he spoke, the group took notes, and every so often there would be a snicker heard from a group of Slytherin boys in the back.
Draco would comment here and there on Hagrid's teaching. Call him an oaf and other brutish names. (Y/N) had learned to ignore it by now, and so had Hagrid as he carried on with his lessons while the whispering continued.
Hagrid dismissed the students into groups to work with their Bowtruckles. Eris took notes while Lucia called out stuff she noticed, and (Y/N) held their little creature.
"They're so cute," Lucia commented for the tenth time that period, and the other two girls laughed. "If I could study Bowtruckles forever, I would do it."
"Well, if you finally decide to finally settle on being a Magizoologist, then you can work with Bowtruckles all the time." Eris reminded her, and (Y/N) nodded in agreement.
"Eris has a point."
Lucia giggled. "I just can't commit to that right now. Being a nurse at Saint Mungoes could be fun too."
They continued their work, and (Y/N) almost jumped and dropped the Bowtruckle, turning to see Draco standing there. "Uh, did you need something, Draco?" she asked softly, casting Eris and Lucia a confused look.
"I was wondering if I could ask you some questions about Bowtruckles," he explained. "Despite being my least favorite class, I'd still like to pass it."
(Y/N) smiled a little and held up the Bowtruckle she was holding and started talking about the anatomy of the creature, all the while Draco's friends watched with confused looks on their faces, wondering why he was asking a Hufflepuff for help.
