Draco was surprised at how quickly he became friends with (Y/N). They had spent a lot of time together down by the lake, doing homework but also messing around and laughing.

They had planned on working on their essays for potions down by the lake before it got too cold, but when he arrived, he was confused. He didn't see her anywhere along the shore. Draco called her name, and when she didn't respond, he turned on his heel and headed back for the castle.

The first place he checked was the Great Hall. He didn't see her sitting at the Hufflepuff table, so he double backed to the library. He saw some other Hufflepuffs there studying, and when he asked if they had seen (Y/N), they shook their heads.

Draco trekked all over the castle, but (Y/N) was nowhere to be seen. To ease his worries, he figured she must've gotten sick or something and stayed in her dorm today. With that in mind, he headed back to the Slytherin common room to work on his own homework.

The next morning, Draco wasn't surprised that everyone was buzzing about the tournament event today. Lots of students were bundled up, planning on heading down to the lake after breakfast to get good seats for the games. He was surprised, however, to see Lucia sitting at the Hufflepuff table, softly chatting with Dmitri. He glanced down the Slytherin table and saw Eris quietly eating toward the front.

Draco moved down to where she was sitting, and Eris looked up from her book, an eyebrow quirked in question. His question came out in a soft whisper, "Have you seen (Y/N) anywhere?"

Eris shook her head. "No. I saw her last in class a couple of days ago. Lucia saw her yesterday in the common room I believe, but not since then."

With a sigh, Draco gave her his thanks and finished his breakfast in silence. He joined his friends on their way down to the challenge, shivering as the wind blew harshly across the water.

He tuned out of the commotion around him, occasionally replying to Blaise in the conversation he was having with Pansy, Crabbe, and Goyle. However, he was brought out of his thoughts as the crowd cheered, and he looked toward the water. Cedric's mop of blond hair was next to another mess of (H/C) hair, and Draco's eyes widened.

That was (Y/N).

He pushed his way through the group he was with, his friends calling his name as he made his way to the platform. "Let me through! (Y/N)!"

She was shivering, and Madam Pomfrey was frantically burying her in blankets. Harry wasn't too far behind with Cho and Gabrielle. Hearing her name, (Y/N) looked up and was suddenly engulfed in a hug, and she melted into the warmth.

"Draco," she breathed. "I'm so sorry for missing yesterday. I was, uh, in the middle of something."

He chuckled and said it was fine, and when his relieved mood died away, he noticed the tension between the three of them as Cedric watched from where he sat beside Cho. (Y/N), who was ignoring Cedric's look, allowed Draco to help her up, and together they walked back to the castle to warm up, (Y/N) explaining what had happened and how she hadn't remembered anything until she had resurfaced.

Draco was just glad to have her back.

What if you're someone I just want around?
