On a rainy, October morning, a Korean baby was born. A royal couple, the future King and Princess of Japan, had been expecting to adopt since the paperwork became official. Adoption in most monarchies was unconventional, but after the future king realized he was unable to produce children, he concluded rules were meant to be broken, and his adopted son could gain the throne even if he wasn't of blood relations.

The couple traveled to Korea, arriving at the hospital. The man and woman walked to the infancy, looking at the small baby boy wrapped in a white blanket. The woman cried, overjoyed at the idea of having a son. The man reached over, holding the newborn in his arms.

"You will not forget your origin," he whispered to the child. "We will teach you Korean and Japanese. You will know English and Chinese. My bright boy, you will take the throne after my passing decades from now."

The newborn had no idea what the man was saying, but cooed at the sound of the voice. Little hiccups of cries left the newborns lips, scrunching his nose and eyed up.

"What should we name him?" The woman asked, looking at the child in her husbands arms.

"We will keep him with a Korean name but a name that easily means a Japanese name. Jimin as his first name. It means gentleness and intelligence in Korean. He will reach the skies and become a great leader. He will make us proud."
