Bettina and Jared grabbed a drink on the counter, leaving Beau and Imari behind.

'Are you enjoying yourself?' Beau asked.

Imari smiled before nodding her head. She is truly enjoying this short get away with them.

Imari felt comfortable with these people she's hanging out with. She almost felt bad that she doesn't have the time to invite Ada. The girl works too much.

However, she promised her friend a girl bonding when she got home, together with her mom.

Imari still doesn't have the courage to introduce Beau to her mother.

She's nervous about what her mother's reaction will be, especially her old sister who saw the way she cried over her past lover.

"Im, do you know that guy?" Imari looked up when she heard Jared who just got back.

She turned around to where he was pointing at and saw Justine, her past lover, glaring at them.

Imari froze on the spot when Justine met her gaze.

His features completely hardened and with a snarl on his face, he got up before he walked towards them.

"Who's your new boy toy, Im?" Imari can hear the disgust in his tone.

"Excuse me? Who are you?" Bettina snapped at Justine.

Jared stood up and held Bettina close to her.

"Imari's ex." Imari's eyes widened before she looked at Beau who got no emotion on his face.

Beau suddenly stood up before he pushed Justine back. Imari saw the anger behind those gentle eyes, this is the first time she saw Beau this mad.

Beau was doing sign languages that only the three of them can understand, making Justine oblivious on what he's trying to imply.

'I'm Imari's boyfriend. Don't walk up here like you own this place. Don't you have respect?'

"The fuck are you doing? Can't you speak?" Justine smirked when he caught on with the situation. "Seriously, Im? You replace me for this fucking mut-"

Imari got up and slapped Justine, hard.

No one, no one disrespects her Beau just because he is mute.

"Fuck off." Imari said.

Justine got a disbelief on his face before he laughed loudly. "I can't believe your taste in men got wors-"

Imari slapped him again, much harder this time.

"Don't disrespect my boyfriend, Justine. I don't need your approval nor do I owe you anything. Now, fuck off and go on with your pathetic life." Imari snapped before she pulled Beau close to her and kissed him in front of everyone.

Gone was the shy girl and now replaced with a confident woman. Beau couldn't be more proud of his love.

The night ended quickly after the incident, making Imari feel bad about it.

"I'm sorry about Justine." Imari said, a frown visible on her face. Beau pulled her close to his side before kissing the side of her head.

"Don't worry about it. Just tell us if the guy keeps on pestering you." Jared said as they walked back to their room.

"I guess I'll see you both tomorrow?" Bettina asked.

Beau nodded his head while Imari blushed furiously and almost laughed aloud when she saw Bettina looking at her with a knowing smirk.

Imari bit her lower lip and shook her head. She sure is nervous to sleep in the same room as Beau but she knows he won't do anything that will make her uncomfortable.

'Do you want to go back to our room?' Beau asked her with an innocent look on his face.

Imari almost groaned out of embarrassment from her thoughts. "Can we take a walk first? I didn't have the time to enjoy back there."

Beau smiled at her before nodding his head. 'Ofcourse. Anything for my love."

The two walked along the shore, the sound of the crashing waves together with the moon's light reflecting above them.

Little did they know, both of their heart beats are in sync as they let each other free themselves from the emotions they feel.

They sat down on the sand, facing the waves.

Imari turned to Beau. 'I'm so lucky to have you.' She signed out of nowhere.

She saw a smile plastered on Beau's face as the moon shone on him. "Justine, my past lover, cheated on me." Imari sighed, finally letting her feelings out for once.

"I was angry and sad at the same time. Angry because I can't do anything but just accept the fact that I'm not enough and worthy of love. And sad because.. because I have never felt so degraded in my entire life. I trusted him all along the years of our relationship and it was like a huge blow on my face when I learned that he was unfaithful half of the years we have been together."

Beau was looking at her, examining the vulnerability plastered on Imari's face. He never wanted to punch someone as bad as now when he heard about this.

Beau never pry anything personal on Imari because he wants her to adjust and let her tell her problems at her own pace without making her uncomfortable.

Beau listened intently on Imari and his heart clenched at the thought of someone getting cheated on. Why would people intentionally hurt someone they care about and claim that they love them?

This girl beside him, she deserves everything in this world. And he wants to be that someone who will make her feel she's so much worth loving for.
