Imari's phone suddenly rang, making her stand up as she continued to chew her favorite taco that she bought."Where the hell did I put it?" Imari muttered to herself as she scanned her couch and flipped the cushions on it.
Imari immediately snatched her phone on the floor beside the center table. She had no time to think why it was placed there as she quickly answered her phone.
"Im! Are you free today?" The chirpy voice of her friend asked.
"No," Imari grumbled. "I'm busy."
"Oh come on! I know you're on your pajamas, watching movies and stuffing your face again with that favorite taco of yours!" Ada, her friend, exclaimed.
Imari scanned herself for a second because she was indeed only in her pajamas, watching some random movies and basically stuffing her face with foods nonstop.
"I don't see why it's your business," Imari said, clearly annoyed that her friend figured out she was lying.
"Just come with me, I quite have a few clients today, they also hired me as the make-up artist of their bride. I need a hand, please?" Ada begged and even without seeing her friend, Imari bet she was pouting.
Imari sighed, annoyed. "Do I really have to?" The other line went silent as Imari bit her lips anxiously.
Minutes later, Imari rolled her eyes. "Fine! What time?"
As she heard her friend's squeal, Imari almost regretted her decision to give in to her friend's request.
Imari finished her food before taking a quick bath. She was curling her long luscious hair when she suddenly looked at the time.
She's late!
Imari quickly gathered her things before rushing out and almost got squeezed-in in the elevator. When it opened, she hurriedly ran to the parking lot before jumping into her car.
Imari's phone continued beeping. She knows it's Ada spamming her text messages and probably cursing her out on why she is late, again.
As Imari saw the building that Ada sent her, she parked her car across it before taking a deep breath and looking at herself in the rear view mirror.
Imari got out of her car before sophisticatedly walking inside the building like she just didn't rush out of her apartment, running like a madman.
"You're so late," Imari saw Ada waiting at the reception before her friend grabbed her hand. "I already finished doing some of the bridesmaids. I need you to freshen the bridesman because he will be walking with the bride."
Imari just nodded her head as she let Ada dragged her towards some room.
