Narrator POV
"Are you out of your fucking mind?! Please explain to me India Ines' house was illegally searched.. Hmm? That's a fucking question. Answer it!"
Agents Carson and Kelly sat before assistant FBI Director Lowry, who was currently tearing them a new one. Ironically enough Agent Carson didn't deserve to be reprimanded in such a manner, he told Liam's dumbass not to engage. He wasn't even present when this so-called raid went done. However, because Agent Kelly was still his partner he's what you would call guilty by association.
"I can't attest to anything that may have happened as I wasn't present. I told Liam our warrant had been denied then went home to my wife and kids." Agent Carson shrugged.
"Did you know he was planning this?" Director Lowry countered with an eyebrow raised.
Carson awkwardly cleared his throat, "He mentioned the idea to me but I told him it was stupid and insubordinate—"
"—You don't tell him shit. You tell me!" Lowry slammed his hands down on the table in anger. The sound reverberating throughout the room. "This all could've been prevented had you just told me. Now the media is down our throats, and the Director wants heads on a stick. It sure as hell won't be mine."
"She's the key to catching him." Agent Kelly finally spoke up causing all eyes in the room to shift towards him. "I was wrong about her being guilty, but she knows him. He arrived at her place a few hours after we left."
"You went back to her place?" Lowry bellowed, at this point without a doubt all the other agents could overhear the conversation being held in his office. "I don't care if she knows fucking El Chapo you cannot be outside of her house.. It's a PR nightmare. She's not a criminal, she's a model with a cute little baby and an NBA boyfriend. And now we look like the bad guys cause you're terrorizing her for no reason!"
Agent Kelly knew better than to keep attempting to explain. Every time he opened his mouth the situation became worse rather than better. Proving that he may not be completely stupid.
"You go near her again..." Agent Lowry paused running a hand down his face. "Get our of my sight, both of you! And Kelly you're suspended. Leave the building."
Liam Kelly could not believe the words he was hearing. His job was his life. Sad considering he has a wife and children, but his work is what gave him his sense of purpose.
"Boss... Come on, you're blowing this out of proportion—"
