India POV
"See she's fine, mamas." Rio tried to reassure me, we're at the emergency room. I stared down at the hospital crib with Avalon inside of it trying not to cry.
There wasn't any risk of Rio being there since Avalon has my last name. Plus despite all the law enforcement agencies that are looking for them, I don't think any of them have put a name or a face to the man. He doesn't have social media, well he does but a finsta isn't what I consider social media.
Avalon has gastroenteritis, they said we'd be able to take her home in a few hours. Right now she's hooked up to an IV because she's dehydrated from all of the fluids she's lost, and also to give her the nutrients she needs. She's been refusing to eat anything.
I know I'm a bit overly emotional, but I try so hard to make sure nothing bad ever happens to her and now she's laying in a hospital bed.
"If you start crying it's gonna upset her." Rio reminded me, and I nodded my head wiping my tears from my eyes. "I'm gonna take Santi to get something to eat then I'll be back to check on you two. You want anything?" I shook my head no.
"Don't be sad, the doctors said the baby will be alright." Santi ran over to me hugging my legs.
"Thanks buddy." I ran a hand through his curls before leaning down to place a kiss on his forehead. "Go with your Dad, I'll see you when you get back."
I pulled up a chair next to Ava's hospital bed taking a seat in it. She was watching Sophia the First on the tv screen as if nothing is even happening. At least she's feeling better with the drugs the doctors have given her.
"Mama, mama wook." Ava pointed to the tv screen a small smile on her face.
I nodded my head, this is one of her favorite shows. "I see, princess."
"India, Indi. We have a big problem." Tatiana peaked her head in the door and I motioned for her to come inside the room. She had been in the waiting room with Oscar, we didn't want too many people in Avalon's room because she's a baby with a compromised immune system. She doesn't need to be exposed to their germs.
I held my hand up, gesturing towards the hand sanitizer dispenser on the wall. "Hands first." Tati held her hands out letting the liquid drop into them before stepping farther into the room.
"There's paparazzi outside of the hospital, at first it was just a few but now the crowd has gotten much larger."
Remember how I said I was kind of a public figure? You know, not Beyoncé but not exactly a nobody. In the majority of my life, I can function without drawing any unnecessary attention to myself. I go to shopping, to the movies, to get gas and nothing happens.. Checking into a hospital is not exactly considered nothing though. That's a story, major star or not that's a major headline. It's a media frenzy when Youtubers visit the hospital, I know you've seen the headlines. Honestly I should've seen this coming, especially with my shitty social media presence lately. It was only a matter of time before people started to assume the worst... I was so worked up about Avalon I didn't even think about the attention this could draw.
