After my escape in Diagon Alley, my brothers basically carried me through King's Cross station on September 1st.

"Really, Caleb, I am perfectly capable of-
"No."
"Jason, could you please let go of my hand-
"No."
Draco tried to help me, saying, "Boys, I can carry her trunk if I-
"No."
Lucius chuckled. He looked at me.

"While this likely seems less than enjoyable to you, Isabella, I find comfort in knowing your brothers will look after you."

"Looking after me seems to be putting it lightly, Godfather."

At this point I was debating getting sorted into Hufflepuff just so they would leave me alone.

Thankfully, they finally left me alone when they saw their friends, leaving me and Draco to save two compartments, which was necessary in order for all of our friends to sit together. While we waited for the others, I leaned across the aisle to Draco.
"Butterscotch?"

Draco was looking out the window and didn't seem to hear me. I took off my blazer to reserve the compartment and scooted into the one across from it.
"Draco."
"Hmmm?" Still not really listening.
"Want a butterscotch?"
He looked at me. "The trolley has loads of candy on it. Why'd you bring more?"
I shrugged. "Didn't know if they'd have butterscotch. The muggles I lived with used to have a bowl in the parlor. I wasn't allowed to have any, but I'd take some anyways. It's the only candy I really developed a taste for..." Because I never had any other candy. But I wasn't about to say that.

Draco took the wrapped candy from my outstretched hand. "My mum kept peppermints."
He smirked and reached into his pocket, pulling one out and pressing it into my hand. I smiled. I felt I'd successfully cheered him up.
"You're going to love butterbeer."
"What's that?"
"Basically liquid butterscotch"
"Shut up. That sounds amazing."

"Hello, you two!" Goyle was the first to arrive. He picked my jacket up off the seat and tossed it to me before stretching out in the other compartment. Mia followed after, pushing his legs to the side to make room for herself

"Is that candy?" Crabbe sat across from us, eying the small brown paper bag in my hand. I handed him three.

Mia rolled her eyes. "How can you eat at a time like this? Our lives are about to begin."

Blaise strolled into the train car. "Mia, lets not be dramatic, love. Hogwarts will be a blur in the story of our collective success at best." Mia wrinkled her nose. "I dont like it when you talk like you're old."

Blaise ignored the insult. "Speaking of success, it's come to my attention that Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts. I think we'd all find it in our best interests to befriend him."

Draco rolled his eyes. "Why do we have to treat him like he's special? He's already got Dumbledore under his thumb. I mean, he sent the gamekeeper of Hogwarts to accompany him. That's ridiculously unfair treatment. In fact, if it weren't for my father and Mrs. Jacoby, I'm not even sure Isabella would be here right now. We haven't even gotten there, and already he's being worshipped."

I felt the need to defend Harry. After all, this was his second chance of sorts, considering how awful his life in Little Whinging was. "I don't know, Draco. If Potter really does get such special treatment, I'm going to assume that it will be extended to those in his circle, and therefore beneficial to us."

He considered this. Then he said, "Fine. But I'll be the one to talk to him about it."

I didnt offer to do it instead. After all, I had no idea what Harry thought about me. For all I know, my one act of kindness may have been drowned out by all the memories of me being a bully.
