•Samantha's POV•
I was laying on my bed staring at the paintings on my ceiling while my mind wanders to daydream. I was wearing my usual cocktail dress, which in my opinion was unnecessary since I always stay in the estate over summer, but my mother says that we should always be presentable and proper. I twirled my wand between my fingers, my wand was my mothers old wand and the wand I was currently using for my school year at beauxbatons, and tried to think of what I could do today.Even though my parents were busy, they always made sure to spend as much time with me as they can and make sure to raise me to not believe in all that "purebloods are superior" garbage the other pureblooded wizarding families believe. They also made sure that I was humble and always shared my happiness, opportunities and prosperities with others around me.
It was summertime and being away from beauxbatons, and being an only child in my family became pretty boring most of the time. My parents were busy during the summertime with their work and business and what not, and there's hardly anything to do at my house ( I know shocker considering my house is massive).
There weren't many things to do while my parents were away since the only living things left in the estate were myself, the elves, and the unicorns. Being an only child got boring and tiresome most of the time, but I managed to find ways to entertain myself. I occasionally went down and talked with our elves but it doesn't last long because they have to get back to working. But this summer I have done nearly everything there is to do to entertain myself. I've gone swimming in our pool, read almost every book in my father's study, went on the hike behind our estate, visited my family's unicorns, and gone through my mother's garden countless times.
I just decided to re read the book from my father's study called The Tales of Beetle The Bard and have read it over 7 times already. But none the less it was still a favorite of mine. I sat in my bedroom oriel window and looked out into the streets of my neighborhood, which were empty and quiet as always and started to read the book once again.

After a while of wandering around the house trying to entertain myself, one of our house elves Tisley informed me that supper was ready and that my parents will be arriving shortly.
I made my way down the staircase which was, in my opinion too extravagant for my taste, but my mother insisted that it corresponds with the manor.
I take my seat at the table and wait for my parents to arrive.
After some time I begin to become impatient and hungry, but my mother taught me patience and manners, so I simply twirled my salad fork on the dining table as I waited longer for my parents.
It got to about 7 pm and I hear the usual landing of the unicorns and carriage out the main entrance. and finally eat dinner.

At the dinner table the elves serve us our food, which like everyday was a feast, which was more than we necessarily need. But considering how generous my parents were, we take the leftovers (the ones we haven't eaten) and donate it to the local less fortunate center."So Samantha, how was your day today darling" my mother said as she starts to dine on her salad.
"It was well mother, I did what I usually do everyday, read, hang around, and walk around the garden" I said smiling at my mother.
Then all of a sudden our other elf Lilny, which in my opinion was the best elf because she always made sure I was well dressed and fed, came up to my father and whispered something to him.
"Lilny saw an owl outside of the window and saw a letter addressed to Ms. Samantha Lovecharm, so Lilny brought it here to sir." She said as she handed the letter to my father respectfully.
"Thank you Lilny, you may be excused." My father said calmly.
My family for as long as I can remember never treated our servants and animals badly or thought of them lower than us. My parents always treated our elves with respect and we always appreciate their help.
"Ahh this is indeed a very important letter, and I think it is this is directed towards you Samantha." My father said as he lifted his wand and levitated the letter towards the middle of the table, where I was seated.
"What is this father?" I said questionably.
"It is an important letter from the Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry." My father said informing me.
"Oh how exciting Samantha, I transferred to Hogwarts from Beauxbatons when I was around your age, and that year I met your father and we went to the Yule Ball together!" She said excitedly.
The entire side of women in the Lovecharm bloodline have always gone to Beauxbatons except for my grandmother and my mother. My mother transferred to Hogwarts from Beauxbatons for her fourth year because she was in the same situation as I was, which was that I had outstanding grades and Hogwarts could possibly suit myself better, and apparently met my father at this event held at Hogwarts called the Yule Ball which happened every five years. I wonder what houses they were in.
I snapped back to reality from speaking with myself in my head and returned to conversing with my parents. "Oh does that mean I have to transfer and leave my friends and Beauxbatons?" I said with a worried look on my face.
"Not necessarily Samantha, now your mother and I know that you love Beauxbatons and have made friendships that you treasure dearly, so we are leaving that decision to you. If you do decide to attend Hogwarts, you have a week to let us know." He said with a reassuring smile on his face
"Yes, your father and I will leave that decision to you." She stood up from the table and walked toward me. "We know you'll make the right decision." She said giving me a calm smile and brushing my cheek.
"Thank you mother, father. I will need some time to think but I appreciate you two giving me time to make my decision." I said giving them a warm smile. "I will excuse myself from the table to get ready for bed."
As I walked up the grand staircase and past my father's study, I finally reached my bedroom and see my usual warm glass of milk on my bedside table then started changing into my silk pajamas.
As I went to my vanity and brushed my hair, I started to think about my decision. I thought that if I do transfer and go Hogwarts what new experiences I would have. But if I decide to stay in Beauxbatons I would not have to worry about trying to make new friends or get lost at school.
All this thinking made my head feel dizzy, so I set down my hairbrush and climbed into my bed and let the warm covers envelope me as I let sleep take over.
