𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏: 𝑯𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑸𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒉

•Samantha's POV•

The sun shone bright through the dorm and dragged me out of my bed.

Today was exactly 2 days before my first official quidditch match on the hufflepuff team. I haven't gotten a response from mother and father yet so I assume they are busy at work.

I walked downstairs a little earlier than usual since Hannah, once again, slept in. This time at dinner Jade was busy rambling on and on about her new kindled romance with Mauricio after he gave her a necklace.

"And after we walked to class, he pulled out the necklace." Jade said swooning and flashing the necklace with an M on it. "Its like he's proposing to me."

This girl is getting delirious.

"Hm, ok not to ruin the mood but, how exactly have you told your parents you're talking to A REAL LIVE BOY, not to mention your brother." Hannah said as she scooped oatmeal into her mouth.
"I mean come on, you know how your parents are, especially your brother. He's going to go hard on Mauricio when he finds out."

"And that is exactly why I'm not telling them Abbott, and that is why you're keeping you're mouth shut as well." Jade glared.

Just as the two were bickering, the morning owl deliveries came in.

Tens of owls swooped down and dropped off letters, parcels, and other things from the families of the students.

Hannah got a chunky knit sweater from her mother that was handmade, the look of sarcasm was written all over her face.

Jade was too busy STILL admiring her necklace but the owl dropped the package to her brother instead.

Iris and her sibling each got separate packages from their parents. Iris's parents were currently in Brazil because her father had a small business opportunity there.

She received many sweets and post cards from Brazil.

I wasn't really expecting anything from the our family owl but it unexpectedly came into the hall stowed with an envelope.

It dropped my envelope and I examined it. It was quite strange, it had a red seal and a ribbon around it.

"Bloody Hell, Samantha's got a howler. Nasty things I tell you, got one in second year after I stole father's flying car." Ron said pointing at my envelope.

"Yeah, Mio got one once from our mum about his grades and how he's doing in school. Let's just say A: the teasing of his classmates didn't stop and B: he died when we got home from break." Jade said snickering

"Well go on, open it." Hannah said still eating.

By the time I got through the seal, everyone in the Great Hall was looking at me.

Howlers were a scary thing from what I have read.

I slowly and anxiously took out the note and just as I have read, it started to talk by itself.

It cleared it's throat and suddenly my mother's voice came out from it.

"Ah! Samantha my dear, you're father and I are so proud of you. We are very pleased to hear that you are excelling in both academic and sporting events." Surprisingly it was a kind message from her mother.

This was already going better than expected.

"We are overjoyed that you made the hufflepuff quidd-" before her mother got to finish the sentence, she heard her father's voice interrupt.
