Misunderstanding

I had to sit alone at lunch because Gracie had to make up a science test, I really wish today wasn't the day she has to miss our lunch period. I had no idea what to do, all I knew was that I am mad at Leo. I sat at the table staring at my lunch, I really wanted to cry, but I knew I shouldn't. Especially because everyone could see me if I did cry. I tried to think of soemthing else, but everytime soemthing pops into my head it's just about Leo. I quickly got up and dumped my food in the trash and started to speed walk to the bathroom as tears went down my face. I was walking so fast and I wasnt paying attention and I ran into someone. "Hey, hey, Maya what's wrong?" I heard Leo say. I looked up and realized I had ran into Leo. I pushed him off of me and ran into the bathroom.

Leo's pov

I was walking to the lunch room to find Maya and a girl came walking really fast around the corner and ran into me. I looked down and realized it was Maya... and she was crying. I asked what was wrong and tried to hug her but she pushed me away and ran into the bathroom. I've never seen her like this, something is definitely wrong. But how am I supposed to find out if she wont talk to me. I grabbed my phone and messaged her because I cant go in the Girl's Bathroom.
Me (Leo): hey, what's wrong? Why did you push me off of you in the hall?? What happened?
Maya: dont play dumb.

Dont play dumb?? What does she mean by that? Did I do soemthing to her?

Maya's POV

I was standing in front of the mirror crying and trying to calm down. Suddenly my phone went off. It was Leo. He was playing dumb like he didnt know what he was doing.
Me: dont play dumb.
Leo: What? I'm not, I dont know what's going on. Please talk to me Maya.

It was so hard to not go out the door and into his arms, but I knew I had to be stronger than that. Even if I did talk to him, I cant give in to his cute face. I need to still be mad and I need to show him that cheating isn't okay. I walked out of the bathroom after wiping my face with a paper towel, I could tell my eyes were still red though. I didnt see Leo thankfully, but when I got to my table I heard him say my name from one of the other tables behind me. He ran over and sat by me and tried to put his arm around me but I scooted away. "Maya, what is it? What did I do?" He asked in an innocent tone. I looked down, "I saw you and that girl earlier Leo." I said without looking up. "What girl? I wasnt with... oh, no, Maya, she kissed me. It was completely not planned. I pushed her off though, I promise. I didnt kiss her back." He said trying to look into my eyes. "Hey, look at me." He said as he lifted my head up to look at him. "Wait, so you didnt kiss her? You had nothing to do with it?" I asked. "Yes, I promise." He said while looking into my eyes. He wiped a tear from my eyes and hugged me. This time I didnt push him off, I just fell into his hug and burried my head into his chest. I'm so glad it was just a misunderstanding.
