The girls hadn't even turned the corner and immediately, they could hear cheering from many obvious fans, startling them as Eri timidly hid behind the Hero.

"Falcon!"

"Woah, it's really her..."

"She looks so much like her brother!"

"I know, right?!"

After getting over her momentary shock, the girl relaxed with a soft smile, flapping her wings to relax them; the six-year-old girl found comfort in the ticklish feeling as they brushed atop her neck and against her neck, though she cowered behind her, overwhelmed.

"Yo~ what's going on around here?"

"Oh, nothing much!" they beamed, "there's no need for you to worry, Falcon!"

The girl sweat-dropped.

They're certainly... fans, that's for sure... but... they're quite over-the-top... she smirked.

"What's it like being stuck in U.A.?"

"Huh?" she blinked, sighing as she gazed up at the sky with a solemn expression, "it's... definitely helped, that's for sure... we aren't getting many Villain attacks as before, but..." she shrugged, "we don't know, they're probably just biding their time and waiting to pounce."

It was only then that many citizens noticed the withdrawn girl standing behind her, almost immediately fawning over her 'cuteness' and asking the Soaring Hero multiple questions about the girl as she tried to answer them all. She stole a glance at the former experiment, her face falling slightly as she saw that the girl was close to tears.

"Right, sorry 'bout that, but we're running late," she stated suddenly, ignoring their 'aww's and cries for her to come back as she scooped the girl up in her arms, cursing under her breath - making sure Eri couldn't hear her, of course - and flying away to a more secluded place.

The girl didn't even want to think about what sort of punishment Aizawa would have in mind if Eri suddenly repeated her colourful language...

She paused, gazing down at the trembling girl who buried her face in the girl's neck. She sighed, setting the girl down on the ground and squatting down to her eye-level. She reached a hand out hesitantly, patting the girl as she trembled, her hands clasping together.

"Eri?" she asked gently, "are you alright?"

The girl remained unresponsive.

"There were... so many people," she whimpered almost inaudibly, her voice so meek that she had to lean in to hear the girl, "a-and... i-it reminded me... of t-there..."

Her heart fell.

She had heard the story of what had happened with Eri and the Yakuza boss, both from the news and from the Rescue Squad's recount. Almost instantly, she immediately pitied the girl - as much as she hated to admit it - and swore to protect her (among the rest of her classmates). She furrowed her brows, exhaling and beaming down at the girl.

"Hey, Eri?"

The girl peered up with tear-welled eyes.

"You feeling hungry?"

"What's this?" Eri poked at the chicken in front of her, the girl raising a brow mid-bite. She swallowed, holding up her own drumstick.

"You've never had chicken before?" she gaped.

"Chicken..." she murmured, sounding it out and trying to make the feeling of the word rolling over her tongue and missing the Hero's crestfallen gaze, "no... I haven't had it before..."

"Huh..." the girl hummed, "what... did you eat when you were over there?" Upon seeing the girl's hesitant face, she hurriedly stated that she didn't have to tell her if she didn't want to.

"I... I had bread..." she murmured, hanging her head and letting her pale-blue hair fall over her red eyes, "a-and... I think that's it..."

"I... see..."

"Oh!" the child's face immediately brightened as the dessert was brought in, "apples!"

The Soaring Hero cast a fleeting gaze behind her, turning back to the girl as the apple pie - and apple slices - were placed on the table. The Hero beamed upon seeing her shining eyes.

"Do you eat here often?" the girl asked, her cheeks puffed as she happily ate the food.

"Oh yeah, all the time," she winked, "my brother took me here quite a lot when I was younger, so this is our default place for-"

Her phone buzzed, the girl frowned and picked up her device.

"Hello?"

Aizawa's voice rang through her ear.

"Falcon, check the time," was all he said before hanging up. The girl blinked, checking her phone and cursing - of course, under her breath.

"What's wrong, Fal?" the girl innocently tilted her head.

"Are you full?" she asked, standing up, "actually, scratch that; did you like the food?"

"Mhmm!"

"Great," she nodded, motioning for the girl to stand up.

"So... how do you feel about a late-night flight?"

It was 8:59 when Falcon landed in front of a disgruntled Aizawa, carrying Eri in her arms.

"Er... hi..."

"You're barely on time," he stated curtly, his dark eyes travelling from the Hero to the child as she was set down on the ground, "I'll let you off this time..." he didn't miss the girl's sigh of relief, "but if it happens again..."

"Got it," she nodded hurriedly. He sighed, redirecting his gaze down to the girl who made grabbing motions with her hands, the man bending down and carrying her, adjusting her so that she was sitting properly.

"What did you two do today, anyway?" he raised a brow.

"We went to a restaurant and had lots of chicken and salads and apples! Apple pie!" Eri suddenly exclaimed, the Heroes blinking at her wide smile, "Fal, can we go again sometime?"

The pair shared a glance, Aizawa nodding with a ghost of a smile on his face. Eri gazed back and forth between them, a confused expression painting her face.

"Sure thing~"
