"Yo, what you mean you dying?"
"I've been battling lung cancer for 2 years now and it's starting to take over. Look you don't need to worry about me. I'm telling you this cause when I die, I want you to take over for me.."
"J..I can't..I don't.."
"Just listen. I know you know how to handle this business. But I want you to get an education so you can take this business to another level. Promise me that first thing Monday morning you gone go to Monroe August High School and register."
"I promise."
"Alright. I haven't told family and other boys yet but I will soon. The doctor says I have until next month."
"Man J why you just now telling me this!"
"Ima need you to calm down lil nigga. I may be dying but I'll still bust a cap in yo ass."
"Alr man."
"Ima be working with you until then to get you prepared to take this company over, okay?"
"Yeah."
"Alright. Now gone on home. Come back up here at 10 tomorrow morning. Don't tell anyone about this conversation. You understand?"
"I gotcha J."
And he left. I know he upset but hell I'm the one dying.

[Kay POV:]
*Lunch Period*
During lunch, me and April went to Subway to get us some lunch. When we got back to school, everyone was in the parking lot so I'm like what the hell going on?

When I got out the car, all I heard was "Beat her ass!" and "Pull that weave out!". These kids crazy. So I walked over to see Aliyah and Mya fighting. And fighting over what you may wonder? DICK. I kid you not. These thots will fight over dick and not think twice about it. It's funny to me.

So me and April walk into the cafeteria which was empty except for some freshmen because that's none of our business.
"April, never fight over dick."
"Girl you ain't gotta tell me something I know."
"Lol, these hoes wishy washy."
"You ain't never lied."
"I can't wait to graduate."
"Me too. And we going straight to Hawaii!"
Me and April promised our freshman year that we was gonna go to Hawaii as soon as we graduate. Why you think I got a job?

[Caleb POV:]

Man I don't know how to run a whole trap house. Hell, I'm only 19. I can't do this. And my homie dying in a month. I can't deal with this. Then he want me to go to school. I ain't down for all that. The reason I dropped out was because school can't teach me how to be a drug dealer, right? This nigga still ain't told his family tho. It's really crazy to be honest. But I don't know how it feels to be dying so I really have nothing to complain about.

[Kay's POV:]
*After School in Kaydin's House.*

My daddy called all of us in the living room. He even called Granny to come over and listen. This must be important.
"Alright family. I got something to tell y'all that I've been keeping hidden." He spoke.
"What is it Josh?" Ma said.
"I have stage 4 lung cancer. I've been fighting it for about 2 years now and the doctor said I have about a month or so to live."
No one had any words. Not even PJ. No one said anything. Ma just ran out the room. Granny started crying and I comforted her and started crying myself. PJ just stared into blank space. Daddy ran after Ma and brought her back in the room.
"Look y'all. I know this is hard but don't worry about me. I'm finally going home. I'll be watching over you in the sky. It's okay."
"But what about our graduation shopping daddy?" I asked sadly.
"PJ will take you." He replied with a smile on his face.
"Pops.. Why you just now saying something? PJ spoke up.
"I didn't want y'all to stress over my health conditions for 2 years."
"Oh Josh baby come give me a hug." Granny said. He shuffled over and gave her the longest hug ever. Ma just sat and thought I'm guessing. Then she got up and walked out. Daddy followed her and I went to my room and went to sleep.
