JAMES POTTER WRAPPED CASSIE
in a hug as they rushed over to the small fireplace in the corner of the kitchens.

The two of them shaking, teeth chattering as they huddled near the fire for warmth.

Even though they were freezing, they couldn't help the laughs that erupted from their mouths as they stared at eachother, smiles wide on both of their faces.

"Did you see the way that woman was looking at us?" Cassie giggled, rubbing her hands together and then holding them closer to the fire as James did the same, his arms still wrapped around her waist.

"She looked like we were killing her children." James replied, wiping a few strands of his hair out of his face, before once again kissing Cassie on the top of her head.

The two stood there talking for around an hour before they finally payed attention to their surroundings.

Cassie jumping when she noticed the amount of house-elves looking at them from over tables, pots and pans.

James chuckled at her reaction before turning to one of the house elves and muttering something into its ear.

The house-elf nodded quickly before rushing away, almost tripping on the dirty pillow case it was wearing as it turned a corner.

James then led Cassie over to one of the seats, pulling out a chair for her and doing an overdramatic bow as he gestured for her to sit on it.

Cassie giggled as she thanked him and sat down, resting her head on her palm of her hand as she looked at him while he sat down opposite her.

He copied her actions, making her shake her head in amusement.

The two talked about utter nonsense for a couple of minutes, before the house-elf returned, two light pink drinks on a small tray that it was carrying.

"You didn't." Cassie stated as she stared at the drinks, which the house-elf was putting down in front of her, in awe.

The two thanked the small house-elf, who bowed at them, the tray under it's nose that was almost touching the ground as it quickly rushed away.

"Oh," James replied, raising an eyebrow and holding up his drink in a cheers motion towards Cassie.

"But I did."

With a large grin on her face Cassie copied his actions, the clink of glass meeting echoing slightly in the kitchen.

The two then looked at eachother as they began to drink their drinks.

As soon as the familiar taste hit Cassie's tongue, memories from her childhood quickly filled her mind.

"What are you thinking about?" James
asked, suppressing his laugh as Cassie placed her drink back down on the table rather hard, making the elves turn to look at her.

She said a sheepish 'Sorry', before looking back at James and instantly telling him one of the memories she had gotten.

"

So let me get this straight." James began, shaking his head as he laughed at the story Cassie had just finished telling, the two of them now onto their second smoothie.

"You and Sirius tried to escape from the window in your room."

Cassie nodded.

"Only to fall three stories into the street below, which luckily was covered in snow, the dead of night?"

She nodded again, a smile on her face.

"Because there was a spider in your room?"

Cassie nodded once more, and the two of them began laughing even more, as Cassie described the size of the spider.

"It was the size of a galleon?" James exclaimed, laughing harder than ever and shaking his head, causing his hair to fall into his eyes.

"Probably smaller." Cassie replied, before finishing the rest of her drink, James following her actions once he had stopped laughing.

The two then sat in silence for a few minutes, it was a comfortable silence, yet some un-spoken words hung in the air.

"What are we?" Cassie bluntly asked, cursing herself once she had said it.

But James only smiled and leant forwards in his seat, looking her straight in the eyes.

"Whatever you want us to be, love."

Cassiw froze as he said the final word, the feeling of butterflies once again returning to settle down in her stomach.

"Love?" She repeated, making the grin on James's face fade as he looked at her.

"I like it, Jamsie."

James raised an eyebrow as he looked at her, shaking his head as she grinned even more at the look of horror on his face.

"No. Anything but that."

"But Jamsie, it fits you perfectly!" She looked up at him with a fake pout on her lips, her eyes wide and filled with joy.

James smiled at how adorable she looked.

"Okay, maybe you can call me it."

"Yay!" Cassie began to do a small dance in her chair, making James laugh yet again.

He then took in a deep breath as he took one of her hands in his, matching smiles on both of their faces as James asked the question:

"Would you like to be my girlfriend?"

Cassie didn't hesitate for a moment before nodding her head and saying.

"Yes."
