(Madison's POV)

I locked the door, and slid to the floor, hot tears streaming down my face. My heart physically ached, from the desire to have a normal life. I wish I could dance, and play basketball as much as I wished, I wish I could make Kat my girlfriend, and go out wherever I wanted with her, without having to worry about her safety. I just wish this whole thing never fucking happened! I tore off my clothes, and stepped into the shower, making the water hot enough that it could burn my skin. I washed myself, and then just stood there, sobbing for what seemed like hours. As I stood there, I heard ruckus from outside. I turned off the water, and wrapped a towel around myself, opening the door. The steam escaped the bathroom, and drifted through the rest of our suite. My eyes scanned the room for Kat, but she was missing, the bag of her belongings gone also. My heart started to beat out of my chest when I saw a note on the dining table. I quickly picked it up in my shaking hands, and read:

Madison,

If you haven't figured out, this is Kat writing. I asked Nic to come pick me up and take me home. I'm so sorry but I needed to leave, it's the best thing for both me and you. Don't worry, I'll be fine, I'm going back home to my family. I miss them. Thank you for taking care of me and protecting me all this time, but I obviously no longer need to be protected. Even if I did, you're obviously not in the right state of mind to do that for me. I really hope you find a way to get yourself feeling better, and I hope Mikey gets better soon so you're not all alone. I love you, I guess.

~Kat

My heart ached as I set the letter down, and fell to the floor. Tears once again began to stream down my face. I was alone, one hundred percent alone. I shook from anger, but then that subsided once I realized something. I had lost everything, and there was nothing I could do about it....
