Chapter Thirty-One

(Mikey's POV)

I sat up when I heard a knock on the door. It was edging 10:30pm and at this time the hospital didn't allow visitors. I contemplated hiding under the covers when my door opened, revealing Vinny. "Vinny?" I couldn't believe he was there. We hadn't talked since the first night we all met Kat, when I told him we'd never be best friends again. "Hey. Is it cool if I come in?" He asked, shoving his hands in his pockets. I nodded, and pulled out the chair next to my bed for him. He sat, and looked at me. "So, what's up?" I asked awkwardly. "Um, I guess I just wanted to apologize. Now that I know I sort of get why you gravitated towards Madison over me..." Vinny said, gnawing on his bottom lip. "Um, yeah. I guess I'm sorry too. This is all, just a lot to deal with." I said. Vinny nodded, and then the room went silent. "Vinny..." I croaked. "I'm so scared." Tears started falling down my face, and Vinny immediately grabbed me into a hug. He rubbed my back and held me close, giving me a hug that was much needed. "Don't worry Mikey, everything is going to be okay. I just need your help." Vinny said. "I'll help. With anything." I said, quickly nodding. Vinny looked at me, and sighed. "I need you to tell me everything you know about the person that took Kat...."

(Madison's POV)

As I laid in my hospital bed, my stomach turned. I was so scared for not me, but Kat. I knew for a fact she was with Keith, but where? And what was he doing to her? Anger built in me as I imagined him touching her. I punched my pillow, and literally prayed he wasn't hurting her. I should have never brought her into this mess. I should have just listened to Keith actually, and let her go. She didn't deserve to be in this right now. Not only will this ruin our lives, but it could possibly be the end of hers...
