Chapter 4: Cameron
Cam raced through the streets, a feeling of dread following him. He was late so his mind was on how his parents were going to kill him first and then lecture him on the importance of punctuality. The dread of an upcoming lecture.
He swore as he bumped into someone walking the other way, and then a different feeling emerged, a feeling similar to that of pity.
"It's not that man's lucky day." Cam thought.
Because- as you'll soon see- that feeling wasn't pity, but rather the overcast feeling that Cam gets before someone dies, a foreshadowing if you will.
"It's a shame too, he was cute," Cam muttered to himself.
The man Cam had bumped into was little more than a teen, on the cusp of adulthood,
Blond hair, freckles, tall and fit, seemingly teeming with life.
His life force was another story, grey leeching away at the bright glow.
His shirt read "Ville Du Feu Firefighters"
"Dammit! What a pity!" cam thought,
"He was the complete package!"
Cam suddenly remembered the time and without sparring another thought towards the boy, he started sprinting, for this was the day he started in the family business. The day his criminal record started, and today was the day someone was going to die.-Halle
