VANESSAS POV
"okay," bri says with a sigh. "so the man at the counter wouldn't let us add your appointment to the bill. we kept on fighting with him until the manager got involved. she ended up letting us add yours to the bill but when we got to the car, it was already too late."
i see tears in both of their eyes.
"i knew i shouldn't have told you to wait in the car." allie says as she wipes a tear from her eye.
"i-it's all our fault. if you didn't go, you wouldn't have gotten hurt." bri says as she cries.
"guys,no. this isn't your fault at all,okay? not one bit." i say sympathetically.
"we just love you so much and hate seeing you hurting like this a-and knowing we can't do a thing." allie stutters.
"it's okay. i know i'm hurting now but one day it'll all be gone." i lie, trying to make them feel better.i lock eyes with my mom. "someone once told me that they're just people. like you and me, and they shouldn't be able to take my happiness away from me."
my mom nods her head and wipes her eyes.
"hey, why don't you girls go home and get some sleep." she says as she pats ainsley's leg.
they all nod and say their goodbyes before they leave the room.
"now time for you princess." she says as she kisses my cheek. "i love you so much."
"i love you too momma." i reply as i shut my eyes, all the weight on them gone.
i think over the past day in my head. all of the thigs that've hurt me.
i remember the look in all of those girl's eyes when they saw me. all i saw was pure hatred.
but they got what they wanted, didn't they?
they wanted to hurt me and that's what they got. for sure.
i have a feeling this isn't going to end anytime soon.
i know exactly what i have to do
to end all of my pain.
for them to stop.
end it.
