LUKES POV ( once in a lifetime by one direction)
it's over.
i can't believe it's over.
the girl i love with all of my heart isn't mine anymore.
god, it hurts to say that.
i stare at the message i sent her as the read notification comes below it.
tears fill my eyes before they all crash down at once. i bury my face in my hands as soft sobs escape my mouth.
"hey- woah mate are you okay?" calum says as he walks in the room.
i shake my head as i lift my head from my hands.
"i-it's over. vanessa b-broke up with me." i stutter, my lips quivering.
"no.no. that can't happen." he says.
"well it did." i shrug as i wipe my eyes.
"they did it." he says.
"they?" i say as i sniff my nose.
"the fans. they pressured her into it." he nods.
i never knew our fans as the type that would send hate to our girlfriends. i always saw them as the warm, cuddly girls that buy all of our songs and that support our career, not hurt the ones we love.
it all makes sense now. she always told me that she wouldn't listen to them. she always said they never got to her, but they actually did.
"she didn't end it because of me." i sigh in relief.
"no way, she's too crazy for you." he says, shaking his head.
"so what do i do?" i say.
"i'd tell paul if i were ya." he says.
i jolt up and wipe my red eyes as i sprint down the stairs.
paul sits on the couch on the phone with someone.
"i'm gonna have to call you back." he says once he sees me, hanging up the phone.
"what happened to you?" he says with a worried look.
"it's a long story." i say, sittinh beside him.
"well i've got some time." he says with a smirk.
i tellhim about everything. from the girl in the crowd to her breaking up with me, him nodding his head thouroughly.
"a-and i want it to stop. not only is it hurting her, but it's hurting me as well." i stutter.
"well, when she gets back, we'll make sure to have a set of body guards on her at all times, and make sure no cruel posters are allowed in concerts." he suggests.
"okay. anything to keep her safe." i say as i rub my sweaty palms on my jeans.
"you rally love her,don't you?" he smirks.
"y-yeah." i stutter as my cheeks heat up.
"i kind of knew you two would have a thing going on from the beginning." he says.
i nod my head blushing like crazy.
"well, i'll call mark and tell him about her situation and make sure there's a full set of bodyguards at all times." he says.
i nod my head as paul dials mark's number and make my way back up to my room.
" did he handle it?" cal, asks still sitting where i left him, scrolling through his phone.
"yeah." i say. "everything will be alright." i sigh.
