VANESSAS POV
I can't believe he did that to her.
I thought that there wouldn't actually be anything wrong.
that douche.
I can't believe him.
"I'm going to go tell luke goodnight." I lie to Bri. "okay." she whispers as she wraps herself in the covers of her bed. I walk down the hall to Michael's room. I storm in, all of my anger balled up inside me. "what the -Michael?" I ask, him not being anywhere in sight as I look around his room. I walk around as he sits behind his bed, head buried in his hands. I sit in front of him as he lifts his face from his hands.
his eyes are bloodshot and his cheeks are sticky from previous tears. "w-why are you crying?" I ask. he cries a little more he chokes out,"because I love her."
he loves her. wait what?
"what?" I say. "I said I love her okay." he says sternly. "why is it over then?" I ask. we sit in silence for a few seconds. "b-because I ch-cheated." he sobs.
"cheated." I say, trying to take it in all at once. "yeah." he cries. "e-every time I look at her, all I see is guilt." he says burying his face in his hands. "why didn't you tell her?" I say, going to sit by his side. "it'd ruin everything." he says. "but that happened anyways."
"tell me what happened." I say, trying my best to sound sympathetic. "when we has out last break. we went home and you girls came here? yeah, well I went to a party and I got drunk. I woke up in a bed, not remembering anything." he sobs into my shoulder.
"hey mike." I start. "everything happens for a reason." I pull him into a hug. "I just wish I knew what that reason was." he says. I pull out if our hug. "look at me." I say. "as the famous Lou Teasdale told me, if it's meant to be l, it'll be." I say giving a weak smile. "thanks." he says reflecting my smile.
"well, I've gotta go now. don't want to make Bri worried." I say. I saw him flinch at her name and I couldn't feel any worse for them. I walk towards the door. "hey." he says. I turn to face him. "thanks ness." he gives me his usual little smirk and I walk out.
