Sitting around the table, my mom pouring eggs onto each plate, my father staring blankly at the morning paper. I had brought down my fresh copy of "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" and was reading as my parents chowed on the food.

"Not hungry" my father muttered.
"Not really" I sighed.
"Any plans for the day"
"Well I'm supposed to be meeting that girl that lives next door and then I might go out"

Dropping the truth about my new job at this moment didn't seem wise.

"Sounds delightful" my mom chirped.

As we finished breakfast, my father excused himself from the table to prepare for work.

After I helped my mother clean up breakfast we met my father at the door to wish him farewell.

"Oh good morning" I strange face met us at the door as my father took his exit.

"Hello." My father smiled and walked past the girl as he trudged to his car.

"Hi, I'm Sabrina" she spoke.

She was very innocent looking. Shoulder length platinum locks, she looked as sweet as her aunt Hilda but dressed more like aunt Zelda.

"Hello dear. Nice to meet you" my mom smiled lightly and tapped my shoulder as she walked back towards the kitchen.

An awkward teenage moment rushed through me. Sabrina shifted as she felt my pain.

"You must be Lydia! My aunties have told me a lot about you" she tried to reach maximum enthusiasm, I was feeling Hilda vibes.

"Hi, Sabrina. Yes I'm Lydia."
