"They don't like us" auntie Zelda muttered as she peered our our kitchen window.

"I think they're delightful" auntie Hilda cheered.

"...Who?" Ambrose turned away from his copy of "The Feasting dead" by John Metcalfe.
"The new neighbors" I sighed.
"We have new neighbors?" He looked puzzled.
"Where have you been darling? Yes. I reckon you go over and introduce yourself" Hilda chirped.
"I rather not. If they already don't like you two, they probably won't be thrilled to meet your mortician nephew"

The room felt cold. I was a few minutes away from meeting someone that I hoped would get my mind off of, my other life. Apparently she's already repulsed by us.

Hilda met my glossy gaze. "She'll love you darling, don't worry"

I flashed a hopeful grin but sadly I know how these neighbor relationships go.

As I walk up to the Claytons front door I stop to check my hair. I try to practice a few warm smiles but before I could tweak my first draft, someone opens the door.

As I try to speak to Lydia, she seems somewhere else, laced in thought.

"Are you attending Baxter this year? I hear we are both the same age." I asked.
"Yeah" a stale expression lies on Lydias face.
"That sounds awesome! Have you met anyone besides my family yet? Any boys?" I start a wink but a cringe crosses her face so I drop the look.
"Just one, Harry? Or Henry?" I can't remember his name. I just know that he's my fathers bosses kid"
"Harvey" a twinge hits my gut.

Out of all the guys in Greendale, My Harvey is who she likes?

"Yeahhhh, kinda bland though to be honest, not my type"
I let out a sigh of relief.
"That's good, he's kind of my ex" I try not to make things more awkward then they already are.
"Oh" her eyes widen "well he's cool and all, just not my type. Good guy."
I laugh at her attempt to mend what isn't broken.
"It's all good. So just Harvey?"
"Well I saw this guy while I drove through town, he seemed different, he was definitely cute but I never got a up close look" She sighed.
"Maybe you'll find him at Baxter!"

As the conversation of boys and school on, I felt little breakthroughs. Lydia started smiling more and giggles were now being exchanged.

After about twenty minutes of back and forth exchange, she invited me in for some tea that her mom had just prepared. As we sat down, my message from Hilda dawned on me.

"Oh hey, Hilda wanted me to deliver a message today!" I smiled.
"Okay?"
"She said that you are hired at Cerberus'! She told me that when you come in today, they'll be giving you your own costume and schedule"
"A costume" she grunted.
"Yeahhh...it's uniform" I gave a sorry look.
"Can't wait time see it" she fake cheered.
