The night was chilly, sirens echoing through the lost fields of Greendale. I could not speak, I could not move. The running footsteps rustled quietly as two bodies carried me through the thick night air.

     I was woken.

"Dearie, it's time for school!" My mother's voice called from far away.

Delirium. My brain felt like leftover jello from Christmas. My body ached.

Last thing I remembered was a silent dinner with my parents. I usually don't lose consciousness of events but everything else last night was one giant blur.

As I put on my first day outfit, my mother called several times for "brunch time". I stared in the mirror for a while. Why did I feel so unfamiliar? Something was filling my unconscious but I couldn't put a finger on it.

"You look lovely darling"
"Stunning" my parents coed as I walked into the antique kitchen.

I smiled and sat for my eggs and bacon. The eggs were so bland, mother never forgets to salt them.

"Darling, thank you so much for this lovely breakfast. Lyds, have a great first day. I'm off to work." He sighed deeply by the end and exited out the door,

"Your poor father, seems so off lately." My mother shook her head as she cleared my fathers mess.

My mother seemed heartless at times, but deep down she fears for us. My dad being successful, me having a family and husband, living in a grand house. She wanted us to love her dreams.

My father fears for pain. He hopes we never have to enslave ourselves to the bounds of a corporation or a sinister boss like the one he's been encountering.

"School starts in 40 minutes, I'd be off if I were you" she nudged me.

"Love you mom" I kissed her on the cheek and headed out to my car.

As I made my way to the drivers door I felt this weird presence, I stopped dead in my tracks. I heard footsteps, I was feeling faint. As I turn to face the beast, I'm met with a buckle in my knees, I hit the dirt.

"Jesus Lydia, you should really take a vitamin or something" Ambroses' voice flies over my head.

I look up as he's extending an arm. I contemplate for a few seconds but just as he's pulling away, I grab his hand and hoist myself up.

"Thanks, I'll keep the vitamins in mind" I scoff.

"Sabrina is upset" his face turns stone cold.
"I know. I know. My father just doesn't like the Kinkles, I'm aware that upset her, I'll make it up to her."
Ambrose squints "gooood" he starts walking away.

"That's it?!" I call to him.
"Yep!" He waves a hand.
