Mary came back with a multitude of scratch marks and saw Markus' lifeless body sprawled out upon the bed, his blood seeping into the sheets however it seemed rather odd shade because it was laced with darkness. "I promise I didn't mean to harm Markus, I swear Mary." I cried quietly by the bedside .
"Caroline Lynn, you did what you had to do," she said quietly, tears slipping down her cheeks. She held Thomas tight against her ghostly form looking around expecting to see Markus as he saw her. Eventually her eyes locked on a corner amazement lit up her eyes. "Markus?"
"Hey Mary," he said shyly while Caroline looks wildly around.
"Mary, Markus is right here not over in the corner." Caroline said gently, trying not to harm her sister more than she is already in pain.
"Caroline, it is true his body lies there but his spirit, the very being of who he is, is standing right there. The dagger you used was a fantastic gift, for you were able to seperate spirit from body. By you doing that task, you separated not only Markus from his body but also Loki. I can see him because I too am a spirit and Thomas can see him because he is a spirit. I think I know Thomas' gifts, the ability to talk and search for spirits, which is incredibly rare and rather difficult to do. However if I hand you Thomas you can hear him as well." Mary said with a tinge of hope in her voice, handing Thomas over gently. To my surprise, I could hear him quite well.
"It's not safe here for the living; they must leave Mary. Darkness resides here in the most demonic ways and the air is of sulfur. Bring my body back to the sun Mary, I beg this of you; I understand our love was short lived..." Markus claimed not to have the chance to finish his statement before Mary interruption.
"We will bring you back home, but you, as a spirit, are coming with." She commanded refusing to be separated.
"Mary, we must leave!" I said my skin turned a deep shade of red and my light started to fade.
"Then let's be on our way," Mary demanded using her powers to levitate Markus' body and turned her heel to the light.
