Calling Jack

Chapter 8

That Night
Ty is sleeping on the coach. He's tossing and whimpering and flinching.
"Help me!" Ty yelled.
He jumps up scared and shaking when Jack runs out of his room and over to Ty.
Jack pulls Ty into a hug and Ty keeps shaking in his arms.
"Ty, Ty it's okay, You're safe," Jack said softly.
Amy and Lou run out of their rooms and into the living room.
"Ty are you okay?" Amy said, scared.
"Yeah..." Ty replied, nervously.
"Go back to your room," Jack said.
Amy and Lou nod and walk back to their bedrooms.
"Ty what happened?" Jack asked, softly.
Ty is still shaking uncontrollably.
"You're Okay, You're Safe," Jack said softly.
"I-I'm sorry..." Ty said, shaking.
"Ty no you have nothing to apologize for but you have to tell me what happened or these dreams won't stop," Jack Said, Softly.
"I-I know..." Ty said, sadly.
He slowly stops shaking.
"H-He locked me in....th-that room..." Ty said with a sigh.
"The Room we found you in?" Jack asked.
"Yeah... Th-then Wade came in and... He he uh...started hitting me wi-with his belt an-and then he started kicking me... He poured his beer all over me too..." Ty said with a sigh.
"He kept screaming at me... I couldn't understand what he was saying...but he was so mad I-I was begging my mom to help me...she didn't do anything but say I shouldn't have made him mad" Ty said with tears in his eyes.
Jack sighs in disbelief.
"Ty I'm so sorry..." Jack said sadly.
"It's okay... I deserved it." Ty said with a sigh.
"Don't you say that! You deserve anything that man did to you!" Jack said.
The phone starts ringing.
"Who The Hell is calling at this time of night?" Jack said, irritated.
Jack stands up and answers the phone.
"Hello?" Jack said
"Okay, we'll be down," Jack Said.
Jack walks back into the living room.
"Ty, Your mom and Wade were just arrested," Jack said.
Ty sighs unsure how he feels about it.
"Okay..." Ty said, sadly.
Jack walks over to Ty and sits beside him.
"I'm sure this will be hard, but we have to head down to the station," Jack said.
Ty looks down unsure.
"Okay..." Ty said.

At The Station
Jack pulls up to the station and parks. Ty is sitting beside him in the passenger seat.
"Oh god! I can't do this...they're going to be so mad," Ty thought scared.
Ty tenses up a lot and Jack looks over and sees Ty is scared.
"Are you okay?" Jack asked, softly.
"I-I don't know..." Ty said, unsure.
"I know this is scary but you won't be in there alone Ty, I'll be right by your side," Jacks Said Softly.
"Thanks Jack," Ty said, scared.
Jack helps Ty out of the truck, and they slowly walk into the station. They walk up to the desk.
"Hello can I help you?" Asked the officer.
"Yes, I'm Jack Barrlet and this is Ty Borden, we were called here about Wade and Lily Borden," Jack said.
"Oh okay, come with me," Said The Officer.

Interrogation Room
Wade is sitting down handcuffed to the table when Jack and Ty walk in. Ty immediately feels himself freeze in fear.
"Aww wants matter you wimp," Wade said in a mocking voice.
"Let him alone!" Jack snapped.
"Really you need him to defend you now...that's just sad," Wade said mockingly.
Jack leans over to Ty.
"Don't listen to him or anything he says," Jack said.
"I can hear you," Wade pointed out.
"Come on Ty," Jack said.
Jack helps Ty walk to the table and sit down.

Back At Heartland
Amy and Lou are in the kitchen.
"Where is Ty and Grandpa," Amy asked.
"They went to the police station," Lou said.
"Oh... I'm worried about Ty..." Amy said, worried.
"Yeah...especially after that nightmare last night," Lou said agreeing
Tim walks into the house.
"Where's Jack?" Tim asked.
"At the police Station with Ty," Amy said.
"Did they finally catch Wade and Lily?" Tim asked.
"I don't know," Amy said unsure.
"Did he finally tell them what happened to his brother?" Tim asked.
"What are you talking about?" Amy asked, confused.
"I'll take that as a no!" Tim said, annoyed.
Jack and Ty walk into the house. Jack helps Ty back to the living room and everyone follows them in.
"Why were you guys at the police station?" Amy asked.
"Wade and Lily were both arrested," Jack said.
"Okay, well uh I'll go start breakfast," Lou said.
Jack gives Tim a look as they need to talk and walk out of the living room. Amy walks over and sits with Ty she can see he's barely even paying attention and is distraught.
"Are you okay?" Amy asked, softly.
"I-I don't know..." Ty said with a crack in his voice.
"I know my mom never...protected me from him but...she is still my mom a-and they want me to tell them what happened I-If I do that I'm never going to see my mom again..." Ty said with tears in his eyes.
"I know you love her Ty but you can't let her get away with this or Wade," Amy said, softly.
"I know..." Ty said with a sigh.

In The Kitchen
Tim and Jack are standing in the kitchen while Lou is making breakfast.
"So he told them what happened?" Questioned Tim
"No...if they don't actually know what happened in the next 48 hours they're going to let them go and give custody back to Lilly." Jack said, worried
"What? Jack we can't let that happen they'll kill Ty!" Tim said, scared.
"Don't you think I know that!" Jack said, annoyed.
"We have to get Ty to talk," Tim said.
"I know... I just don't know how," Jack said with a sigh.
"Well you better figure it out, or we're going to lose Ty," Tim said.
