Calling Jack

Chapter 4

At The Hospital
Jack and Tim are in the waiting room when Amy, Lou and Lisa run into the hospital's waiting room.
"What happened? Is Ty okay?" Amy asked scared.
"I don't know he's in surgery..." Jack said worried.
"Well did they say anything?!" Lou asked wanting to know more.
"Just that we got here just in time. It would have been any longer he wouldn't have made it..." Tim said with a sigh.
"They almost killed him?!" Lisa asked shocked.
Jack looks down and sighs shaking his head.
"He was in pretty ruff shape when we got there...." Jack said with a sigh.
Clint walks into the waiting room with them.
"Where is he?" Clint asked concerned.
"In surgery." Jack said.
"You weren't supposed to be there Jack." Clint warned.
"Yeah and if he wouldn't have Ty would be dead thanks to you!" Amy said back snippy
"Ty's parents asked me to keep you guys away from him." Clint said calmly.
"So they could beat him without anyone knowing!" Tim said, annoyed.
"How come the people who didn't even want him or bother to see him for two years have any right to say who he can be around." Amy argued.
"Because they're his parents." Clint said.
"Well they put Ty in the hospital it sounds like they're great at being parents." Tim said, pissed.
The Doctor walks over to them.
"Are you Tyler Borden's family?" The Doctor Asked.
"No they're his friends. I'm his social worker," Clint said.
"Okay then can you please come with me." The Doctor Asked.
"Of course." Clint said.

In Ty's Room
Clint walks in and Ty is laying in The Hospital bed with badges on. His arm is in a cast and so his right leg. He is asleep. Clint shakes Ty softly.
"Ty," Clint whispered.
"Ahh..." Ty Whined in pain.
"Don't please." Ty begged.
"Ty it's Clint, Can you tell me what happened," Clint said Softly
"Wade and his buddies got drunk...instead of betting with money... H-He bet with me..." Ty said still drugged.
"Bet with you? Ty I don't know what that means," Clint said confused.
"You know....when he lost he gave me to them.....to do whatever to me for as long as they wanted instead of money. Then locks me in that room...so I can't get away," Ty said drugged.
"Does This always happen when he plays poker with them?" Clint asked.
"Usually...." Ty admitted.
"What did they do Ty?" Clint asked.

At The Ranch House
Amy, Lou, Jack and Tim, Lisa all walk in the house and Mallory runs out.
"How's Ty?" Mallory Asked Worried.
"We don't know...we were allowed to see him." Amy said annoyed.
"What! Why?" Mallory asked.
"That's just bullshit that Clint could go back there and not us! He's lived here for over a year and now we can't see him!" Tim said, pissed
"Yeah it's really not fair!" Lou said, annoyed.
"I know, I know." Jack Said irritated.
"What are we going to do??" Mallory asked
Clint walks into the house.
"Could we talk?" Clint asked.
"Well that depends. Are you going to tell us we're not allowed in the hospital any more too?" Tim asked, pissed.
"No, I came to talk to you about Ty. He's in a lot of worse shape than we thought." Clint said.
"OMG what's wrong with Ty?" Mallory asked.
"Actually I'd like you to just speak with Jack," Clint said.
"Alright," Jack Said.

On The Porch
Jack and Clint are sitting on the porch.
"I was speaking with Ty about what happened and...he told me that Wade was betting him instead of money.... That it happened a lot.... He told me they'd lock him in that room and...what they did to him..." Clint started to say but couldn't finish.
"It was that bad?" Jack asked.
"Oh it was awful... I'm going to put a warrant out for Wade's arrest. I need to know if you will be Ty's legal guardian for these next couple months," Clint asked.
"Yes, of course." Jack said.
"Thank you, Jack." Clint said.
Clint hands Jack papers to sign.
"Please get these back to me as soon as you can." Clint said.
Jack nods and walks back in the house.
"What did Clint want?" Amy asked anxiously.
"Well he said there arresting Wade for child abuse, and he wanted to know if I'd be Ty legal guardian for these next eight months till he's 18," Jack Said.
"You Said Yes right?" Amy asked.
"Yes, Now come on let's go see Ty," Jack said.
