Calling Jack

Chapter 13

In The Kitchen
Jack walks into the kitchen and picks up the phone.
"Hello, I'm Jack Barrlet and my barn hand... He is my adoptive son please his abusive father hurt him. Can you come get his father Brad Borden," Jack said on the phone.
Jack then hangs up the phone and walks into the living room.

The Living Room
Jack walks into the living room and sees Amy sitting with Ty. She gently brushes his hair back.
"How's he doing?" Jack asked.
Amy shrugs unsure.
"I don't know, he's been asleep," Said Amy, unsure.
"Okay, well I just talked to the police in the meantime I'm going to go have a word with his father," Said Jack getting mad.
"Okay, be careful grandpa," Said Amy, worried.
Jack nods his head and heads out of the house.

At The Borden House
Jack pulls up to Brad's house as Brad is unlocking the door. Jack climbs out of his truck and walks towards the house angry. Brad walks in and opens the bathroom door expecting to see Ty still chained up there.
"TYLER!!" Brad screamed
After he realized Ty was gone. Brad then turns around and Jack punches him in the face and picks up his gun pointing it at Brad.
"Don't move!" Jack said sternly.
Brad puts his hands up.
"I'm not moving," Brad Said nervously.
"Tell me where do you get off on hurting your son? Locking him in that room?" Jack asked with anger in his voice.
"I was just teaching him a lesson," Said Brad.
"And what would that be?" Jack asked annoyed.
"Not to send his mother to jail! If he feels she should be locked up then he can be locked up too," Brad angry.
"Well I think you should be locked up for this," Said Jack
The police then walk in behind Jack.

The Ranch House
Ty is sleeping on the couch while Amy is still sitting with him. Ty slowly starts to wake up.
"Amy?" Ty said groggy.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" Amy asked worriedly.
Ty shrugs.
"I'm okay, where's Jack?" Ty asked with pain in his voice.
"He...uh...he went to see your dad," Said Amy nervously.
"Oh..." Said Ty
"Ty he...called the police," Said Amy nervously.
"He what!?" Said Ty appalled.
Ty tries to get up from the couch.
"Ty stop! You're hurt!" Amy said in concern
Ty lays back in pain.
"No I can't let my dad go to jail too!" Said Ty Devastated.
"Ty, he beat you and chained you in the bathroom," Amy said softly.
"I know," Said Ty
Tears start to roll down Ty's cheeks and Amy pulls Ty into a hug.
"It's going to be okay," Amy Said Softy.

On The Porch
Clint and Jack are sitting on the porch of the Borden house.
"What happened?" Clint asked.
"I hadn't seen Ty in a couple of days, So I started worrying and when I came to his house I found Ty beaten and chained in the bathroom..." Jack said with a guilty sigh.
"Where is Ty now?" Asked Clint.
"The house, Sleeping last I knew," Said Jack.
"How bad was he hurt?" Asked Clint.
"His whole back is torn up and infected, His stomach is covered with bruises and the handcuffs cut pretty far into his Wrist," Explained Jack.
"Okay, take him to the doctor and get the report back to me, and we'll go from there," Said Clint.
"Will do," Said Jack.
Clint then stands up and waves to Jack as he leaves.
