𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟔

"tsukishima!" a voice yells, waking up the blonde. He was about to protest of why kageyama woke him up so early in the morning until he remembers about the road trip, letting out a quiet groan.

he closes his eyes again just for a few seconds until he gets clothes thrown at him, making him sit up and turns to see a frowning kageyama who was already ready.

"come on! we have to be there in an hour." the raven-haired boy nags as tsukishima finally gets up to go change.

"alright alright! i'll meet you out in a few minutes." he huffs, grabbing his glasses and puts it on. he grabs his clothes that kageyama threw at him.

"do we have everything?" yamaguchi yells out as he walks to the van to see hinata stepping out from the back, giving him a small nod.

"yeah, i double checked everything." hinata responds, wiping sweat from his forehead. yamaguchi smiles.

"hey!" a voice greets, the two turning to seeing kageyama and a tired tsukishima.

"remind me why we're doing this again?" tsukishima says groggily as he has a coffee in his hand to keep him awake.

yamaguchi laughs as his boyfriend as he walks up to them. "because we're going on a fun road trip." he grins as tsukishima just gives a small nod.

it was currently six am, everyone woke up at five am to get ready and do double checks, everything seemed in place. tsukishima and kageyama arrived using the local bus instead since they didn't want to leave their motorcycles at a place they don't go often to alone for a week long.

tsukishima gets into the driver's seat while yamaguchi gets into the passenger, having kageyama and hinata in the back.

immediately they started their drive, the sun soon rising. it was quiet between all of them, the only noise that could be heard is the phone telling directions.

yamaguchi stares out the window quietly, looking at the blurs of buildings that passed by as they drive through tokyo.

in just a blink of an eye, they have left tokyo and yamaguchi realizes to seeing them driving on a familiar like road, he then hears shuffling behind him, turning to see hinata reaching over to turn on the radio for some music as kageyama is yelling for him to get back down and not hurt himself, telling him that he should've asked tsukishima or yamaguchi to turn the radio. tsukishima assured that it was fine, but hinata kept bumping into him as he tries reaching over, causing tsukishima to start yelling at hinata to stop moving around, having him to argue back saying that the car is moving too much for him to stay still.

yamaguchi sighs to himself as he gives all three a disappointed look.

'too much chaos this early in the morning.'

he then reaches over, shooing hinata's hands away from the radio after failing to turn it on multiple of times, he grabs his phone and connects it with the radio, turning it on as their playlist starts playing. making everyone sigh in relief from that chaotic moments that just happened earlier.

"thanks tadashi, i was about to pull over because of hinata." tsukishima mutters, making hinata protest again, having the two argue again.

the freckled-boy lets out a tired sigh as he turns to look out the window again. noticing the sun rising, having the sky turn from a dark purple to a beautiful combinations of orange and pink hue, soon turning to a beautiful blue.

it was calming and quiet again, tsukishima and hinata stopped bickering with each other.

yamaguchi then realizes why the road was so familiar and he finds them driving on the empty road near the mountain, the ocean on the other side with a railing in between them. he remembers his first trip on the motorcycle through here, the moment was memorable.
