"I'll be back tomorrow evening." Ginny called out as she stood near the fireplace. "Try not to destroy the house while I'm gone!"
"Stop worrying, we'll be fine." Harry chuckled.
Ginny was travelling to France to cover a Harpies match. She was the top sports columnist for the Daily Prophet newspaper. Since the match was late in the evening, Ginny would be staying in a hotel overnight, meaning Harry would be left in charge of the household while she was away. Now Harry was more than capable, but that didn't stop Ginny worrying.
Harry, along with their three children James, aged nineteen, Albus, aged eighteen and Lily, aged sixteen, gathered in the living room to see Ginny off.
"Have a good trip Mum." Lily smiled as she hugged her mother tightly.
"See you tomorrow." Albus waved.
"I promise to behave." James smirked.
Ever since James was a young child, Ginny's parting words with him had always been instructing him to behave himself. As James grew older, the instruction had developed into a private family joke when either James or either of his parents parted ways.
"I'll miss you all." Ginny said, giving them all one last hug.
"It's one night Gin, stop worrying." Harry laughed. He placed a kiss on her lips and Ginny stepped into the fireplace.
With a flash of green flames, Ginny was gone.
"Well, this was fun. I'm going to see Fred at the shop." James announced. Fred was the son of George Weasley and James, Albus and Lily's cousin. Fred had been working in his father's shop, helping George out.
"Don't even think about bringing anything home!" Harry said sternly.
James rolled his eyes at his father but agreed anyway.
"I'll be upstairs, I've got application forms to fill out." Albus said. Without another word he jogged up the stairs.
Harry turned to Lily. "And what are you abandoning me for?"
"I'm meeting Sean in Diagon Alley." Lily informed him, putting on her cloak.
Lily had been dating a young wizard called Sean. Sean was a Hufflepuff in Lily's year at Hogwarts. Since it was the summer holidays, Lily and Sean had arranged to meet in Diagon Alley for lunch.
"Alright, well have fun." Harry nodded. "Home by nine."
"I will be." Lily smiled.
Lily kissed Harry on the cheek and stepped into the fireplace. Another flash of green flames engulfed the room and Harry was left alone.
Deciding to make the post of the peace and quiet, Harry headed to his office to finish his paperwork.

Around 6.30pm, Harry heard the door slam and rushed footsteps. He popped his head out of his office door, ready to scold James for trying to sneak some sort of joke product into the house. But it wasn't James.
"Lil?" Harry said as he watched his daughter run up the stairs, tears streaming down her face. "Lily?"
Lily continued to ignore him and raced up to her room. Harry heard the bedroom door slam shut and groaned.
Harry walked up the stairs and stopped outside Lily's bedroom.
"Lil?" Harry called, knocking on Lily's door.
