Neville Longbottom scurried around the house, making sure all the last minute preparations were ready for that evening. He'd invited his closest friends for a small dinner party. But this dinner party wasn't just any old social gathering, Neville had invited them round to meet his new girlfriend, Hannah Abbott.

Neville's friends knew of Hannah, having gone to Hogwarts at the same time, but they'd never gotten to know her. Neville was excited for his friends and girlfriend to meet each other. He hoped more than anything that they'd welcome Hannah into their circle with open arms.

At five thirty, Hannah arrived at Neville's home. They'd agreed she should be the first to arrive so that she was there when everyone else got there. Neville and Hannah finished preparing dinner and Hannah set the table in the dining room. At six o'clock on the dot, the doorbell rang.

"I'll bet you ten galleons that's the Weasley's." Neville smirked.

Sure enough, Ron and Hermione Weasley stepped into the house. Hermione handed Neville a bouquet of flowers.

"Thanks for coming guys." Neville grinned. "Come on through."

After they'd hung their coats up on the hooks by the door, Neville led them into the kitchen where Hannah was waiting. Hermione gave Hannah a warm smile and a tight hug, then Ron did the same. They fell into comfortable small talk until the doorbell rang again. Neville excused himself and left the kitchen. When he returned, he was joined by Luna and her husband Rolf Scamander. Luna and Rolf greeted Hannah much like Ron and Hermione did.

It was almost six thirty when Ron approached Neville saying, "Aren't Harry and Ginny coming?"

"They said they were." Neville glanced at the clock. "I hope they haven't forgotten!"

Another ten minutes passed and finally, the doorbell rang for the third time.

"Finally, I'll get it Nev." Ron said, heading to the door. Neville gave Ron a thumbs up and turned back to Hermione.

Ron opened the door with a smirk, "About time! If you're get frisky, at least choose a more appropriate time."

However, Ron's smirk dropped when he saw the fiery look in his sisters eyes and the stony set of his best friends jaw.

"He wishes." Ginny huffed, stepping past Ron into the house.

"What happened?" Ron asked as Harry and Ginny shook of their coats.

"Nothing, everything's fine." Harry bit out.

"Well tell your faces then." Ron smirked before looking at them seriously. "Look, this is important to Neville, so whatever's going on with you two, put it aside for tonight."

"We're not going to ruin anything. We're all adults here." Harry said.

Ginny snorted beside him and Harry shot her a glare. Ron shook his head and led them into the kitchen where everyone was waiting for them.

"Still like to make an entrance, Potter?" Neville grinned.

"Sorry we're late Nev, lost track of time." Harry said sheepishly.

Neville glanced between Harry and Ginny and his brows furrowed together.

"Is everything alright?" Neville asked, causing Harry's jaw to tense.
