Three days had passed since your first (somewhat) encounters with Yoongi. It was coming near to the end of the fourth and you couldn't help but feel like - maybe you should try talking to him.
Now usually, that was out of the question. You were the type to keep yourself to yourself. Striking up conversation with somebody first? In a parallel universe maybe, but no, not today. Still, the suggestion lingered at the back of your mind.
Ignoring your conscience, you decided to take a break and go to the local indie coffee shop in your area.
Alone.
Well, that was what you intended to happen.
"Y/N!" You turned to find your lifelong best-friend since primary school, Sana, approaching you; a big smile on her face. She's warm and friendly: if you could describe her as anything else it would be a warm slice of apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce on top. Sana was one of the few people you could strike up a conversation with. Sana wasn't particularly all smiles, sunshine and rainbows despite her bubbly personality; rather she was in a constant state of ambience; neutral, approachable, and dreamy.
Understandable, she was a Pisces.
Unable to ignore the beaming smile on her face, you asked her to tell you the big news over a cup of coffee.

It was slightly busier than usual at Arch's Café, it was after school hours after all. The smell of pumpkin spice lattes and cinnamon wafted under your nose as some teenagers walked past - it was a particularly popular autumn drink.
You rested your arms on the oak table,
"So," you began, "tell me. What's happening?"
Sana looked into your eyes and paused, thinking for a moment. You catch her smile faltering.
Your small smile disappears too, following suit with hers.
"What?? What's wrong?"
She plastered the smile back on, and began,
"Well... I'm going to Japan after Christmas break to visit my mother."
Why was that such a bad thing?
"That's great? You've always wanted to go."
"I know," she pursed her lips, gently, "but I won't be returning."
You stayed silent for a moment, trying to process what you had just heard.
Your best-friend was leaving the country.
Not able to handle the tension, she broke the silence,
"Please don't be mad at me y/n. I'll be back visiting the UK a lot, I promise."
Ignoring the pang in your chest, you managed to muster up a small smile. One you knew she wouldn't believe.
"It's fine, it's fine."
Lies.
"You know I'm fine alone. Whatever's best for you, as long as you call often." You (kind of) jokingly threatened.
"I promise! I'll update you about everything, I won't just forget you like that, you know." She replies candidly, closing her palms comfortingly over your hand on the table.
It seemed the light-hearted air had returned, as long as you ignored the fact that it felt like your heart just had a hole ripped through it. You might as well make the most of your time left with your best-friend.
"Coffee? Since you're leaving, it's on me." You suggested, brushing off your sadness.
Her eyebrows knitted together, "No, I was just the bearer of bad news! It's on me."
You shook your head to decline.
She vigorously nodded hers in response.
"Me." You said matter-of-factly.
"No, me." Sana replied.
The cycle continued, until you both decided you'd pay for yourselves, growing tired of the 'who-pays' game.
Sigh.
You knew you would miss Sana.
