The boy jammed the fork into his mouth, tearing pieces of pork apart.
"Augustus Gloop, how do you feel about finding the ticket? Are you looking forward to seeing Mr. Wonka?"
Augustus wasted no time swallowing his food. He was a clean boy, he didn't like to talk with his mouth full of food. It wasn't very gentlemanly, his mother had told him, and of course he wanted to make himself presentable as he was currently all over TV. Everyone was looking at him, judging him and his every move. His mother seemed to think this too since she put on a cake full of makeup today, rather than her small amount of red blush and lipstick. She also wore one of her most formal clothing, which she wanted to match with Augustus. Just like he was a toddler.
"Hungry," he replied with a German accent. He actually spoke German and had been raised by a German mother and father, who liked to show their culture. He didn't like to show it as much as they did, but he liked to. He was quite proud of it. "And yes, I am very excited to see Mr. Wonka. I also feel bad for him... It's going to cost him a fortune in fudge."
"What do you have to say about this miss Gloop?" One of the reporters asked.
"Oh, why, I am very proud of my little Augustus. I am so very proud of him. I knew he was going to find that golden ticket! I had so much hope for him and he eats so much of it that it was nearly impossible that he couldn't! Eating is his hobby, you know." Augustus's mother happily took a bite of the food in her plate.
Charlie watched the TV as the reporters asked more questions. God, he wish he could eat what they were eating... His stomach began to churn and flip like a gymnast. He wished he could buy enough of that food that it could feed his entire family. Actually, whst that kid had on his plate could actually feed his entire family. Maybe then they wouldn't have that rotten maggot water every night.
Then on the screen he noticed a man with a great deep mark on his left cheek whispering to the boy as he ordered some food. Looked like some sort of scar. He was so close to the boys face and was grabbing his arm, quite tightly by the looks of it. Charlie noticed the boy trying to face away from him and pulling his arm away, but the man continued whispering. Then the TV switched back to the reporters. He was wearing a formal waiters uniform so he guessed he was asking him what he wanted next.
"What a fat bastard," mumbled Grandma Josephine.
"You shouldn't shame people based on their body, Grandma," said Charlie nonchalantly. Grandma probably didn't hear him since she had no reaction. Her hearing had gone to shit so he was the least bit surprised.
"Charlie!"
Charlie turned around to see his Mum with a basket full of clothes. "Are you ready for school?"
"Yes, mum," he said. Charlie got up of the horrid smelling bed, heading for the door.
"Be careful, okay, sweety?"
"Yes, mum." And out he went.

One thing he had noticed when he was heading home from school is that he felt Different. He almost felt... Empty. He felt like he couldn't blink, couldn't walk, couldn't control his body. He was walking home alone, blood dripping from his palms onto the pavement.
When he killed people, he often never felt empty. He was usually happy he could get their money and steal their sweets. This time, he had decided to kill a kid holding a lollipop.
He had followed him from the candy shop, right when it was about to close. The sky was dark and the sun was setting. When rain had started to pour, he decided that he had to make the job quick. When it rained he often found the kid running for home. Which, obviously, made the job harder. On the positive side however, the rain washed up all the blood and evidence. So there were a few plus's to this, and he preferred to stay optimistic, even if it made him seem oblivious to what was bad.
