Disclaimer: The story that I am about to share was written in an ancient and complicated language. Very few know of its existence and even fewer people can translate it. However, myself and a companion have done our best. If some of the characters/places look strange this is because we tried to replace the words that didn't have an English meaning with words that were both related to the concept written and that the reader could understand. With that: I give you the Creation Myth of the Land of the Living Sky

***

When everything that was first began, there was nothing. There was only the void, a gaping maw that surrounded all and consumed empty space. The thing expanded and contracted as if breathing and it fed upon nothing, for there was nothing. Then, after an amount of time never discovered, the void gave birth to a child. This child was slightly human but only slightly. The child posessed four heads, it's legs were that of a goat and it's arms were two gigantic snakes, the child cried and it's cry shook the void who tried to destroy it. The void swallowed the abominable child but could not consume it entirely.

Therefore, two of it's heads were left above the void's mouth and were severed. These heads then, slowly, formed into human like shapes. They were winged bipedal humans with talons like birds and long and waxy features. These twins were Tychkuk and Vask (roughly translated as Emptiness and Chaos). The twins did battle with the void who once consumed their original form and the void fell into a death like state. The twins then embraced and were locked together. They combined and formed the life god Shrizu who was the first male and the first female, their anatomy was a mix of both parts as the two twins was in it's very soul.

Shrizu then tore apart pieces of the void and from these sheets of the void's being they created the Sky and the Primordial Stream which strech across all realms of the Living Lands.

The god then tore more peaces of the void from the whole. From the void's throat it created Qwarick (The Land of Hardened Earth, pronounced Kwarick),

From the void's jaws it created the twin sky islands of Svotch (pronounced Zvotch) and Svir (pronounced Zveer) to honour the twins that made it's being.

Next, the being diverted the Primordial Stream into the spirit rivers Druu (pronounced Droo) and Draa (pronounced Dra) upon which there are many small islands. From the void's heart they created Ichor (pronounced Eekor) a fabulous place (which will be described later) and, using another part of the void, they created the large tunnel known as the Underland. From the void's spit it made Zxu (pronounced Zoo) the realm of heat and fire.

Finally, atop Qwarick, made from the lowest parts of the void, it made the single land mass of Arequest (pronounced Arakest) which was split naturally into 4 sections. Boâk (pronounced Boik) which was the land of Perpetual Night, Murrzit (pronounced as it is spelled) which was the land of meadow and field, Yglii (pronounced Yiglee) the land of wonder and magic and finally Kanon (pronounced as it is spelled) the land of metal and machines.

With all of these created the god created for itself a pet, a gigantic bird with beautiful black and white feathers. The god then slept for millenia with the bird by it's side to guard it from the void. When the bird began to die, the god woke up and mercifully slaid the beast so that it would not suffer. From 14 of its fallen feathers (7 of them white and 7 of them black) were created the modern gods.

The 7 white feathers formed into the god of Light the eldest brother, the goddess of Birth the eldest sister. Then, the goddess of Mercy the elder sister and the god of Strength the elder brother. After them came the god of Wisdom the middle brother, the god of Unknown the middle sister, and finally the god of Anguish who was the smallest and deformed of those that came to be known as the Noble Gods.

The other 7 feathers, those that were black formed the god of Death and the godess of Suffering, the eldest. Then came the god of Power and the godess of Pain, the elders. After that there came the god of Consumption and the godess of Plague. Finally came the godess of Eternity who was perfect compared to her other siblings. These were the Gorrupted Gods. Due to the strain put on them by creation, the god of life soon died

The Noble Gods then took Ichor as their resting place whilst the Corrupted tore apart Shrizu's carcass and formed it into a palace of decay and disparity.

Once this was done, the void woke, weak and broken but still present. One day everything shall go back to the void. It shall consume all the worlds as it slowly regains it's power. But this is a story for another day.
