19th September, 2020.The dusk had begun to envelop me,
Implying the absolute dearth of company,
I sat there, bathed by the moonlight,
The companionship was amicably quiet. The hush of the night was incredibly still,
My loud heartbeats could invite for the kill,
My breathing so audible in this wild unknown,
This trivial me occupied the space alone. These shrouding shadows, helped me unveil,
The inner storms accompanying this gale,
My clenched fingers and shaky knees,
Now curtailed their grip, putting me at ease,It's vast tranquillity, solaced my mind,
It's replenishing waters of an ethereal kind,
Trickled down into the voids so deep,
Lulled my fears, putting them to sleep.Gleaming pearls across this velvety sky,
They watched over me from the wondrous high,
When I lose myself in the thick of the fray,
They'll shine brighter to light the way.~ Neeraj Giri.
