Song of the Chapter : Religion by Lana Del Ray
Draco's POV
I'm still a little surprised that Lucius wants Hero and me to join him and my mother for dinner. He's never been a fan of me being involved with someone romantically. That's another reason why I've just avoided it. Apparently, it's a distraction. But I guess because Hero is Snape's daughter they don't mind as much. I wonder if they knew all along?
I know my mother and Hero will get along. She's always looking for good company. Even though Hero didn't say much about dinner tonight I know she's excited. She bites the inner corner of her lip a lot when she's trying to hide her emotions. I learned that the night in the bathroom after insulting her.
Classes are over for the day and Hero told me in Dark Arts to meet her in her dorm before leaving. I told her I'd be wearing a black suit but she didn't have to dress nicely if she didn't feel like it. I highly doubt she'll turn down an opportunity to wear something other than a sweater vest.
When I get down to the girl's dorms I knock on the door and Daphne lets me in.
"Hero's in the bathroom finishing up." Daphne informs me. I nod and take a seat on their sofa.
A few minutes later Hero enters the room. Her outfit is not something I'd usually like on a girl, but she pulls it off.
"Yeah, you're definitely going to get along with my mom."
Hero chuckles and grabs her jacket off the bed. I stand up and stretch dramatically then meet her in the doorway.
"Good luck, Hero." Daphne laughs.
Hero nods nervously and walks out of the room. I follow behind.
"Are you actually nervous?" I ask her.
She shakes her head. "Not really, no. It's just a big step."
"A big step?" I stop walking. "If you don't want to go that's okay...maybe we shouldn't-"
"Draco, a big step isn't a bad thing." Hero reassures me. "I'm glad they want to meet me."
She looks up and smiles. I let out a heavy sigh and rest my forehead on hers. Hero plants a kiss on my lips then continues walking.

After a long ride to Wiltshire, we get to the manor. The door opens as soon as I knock. My mother greets us both with a big smile.
"I'm so glad you guys could come this evening." She says while giving me a hug. "Are you going to introduce me?"
